Above all, you are committed to enabling your colleagues to focus on designing world-class IP and silicon by ensuring robust, scalable, and optimized CAD infrastructures.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Enabling, supporting, and debugging CAD flows across design, simulation, layout, and transistor-level environments for global R&D teams.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and resolving CAD and flow-related issues, including root cause investigation and implementation of long-term fixes.
  • Driving continuous improvement and innovation in CAD tools, methodologies, and automation to enhance design quality and productivity.
  • Developing scripts, utilities, and software tools to automate repetitive tasks and streamline IC design workflows.
  • Supporting technology and PDK integration by collecting, structuring, validating, and documenting technology data in collaboration with foundries and internal teams.
  • Acting as a technical interface between design teams, CAD, and external partners (e.g., foundries, EDA vendors).
  • Preparing technical documentation and design specifications, and contributing to technical investigations and best-practice definitions.

The Impact You Will Have:

  • Enhancing R&D productivity and reducing design cycle time through stable and optimized CAD flows.
  • Maintaining high quality and reliability in advanced-node and complex IP designs.
  • Empowering Synopsys design teams to focus on innovation by mitigating tooling and infrastructure issues.

  • Facilitating smooth technology and tool integration, ensuring seamless transitions to advanced process nodes.
  • Strengthening Synopsys’ ability to deliver cutting-edge IP and design solutions to a diverse customer base across multiple industries.

What You’ll Need:

  • University degree in Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, Computer Science, or related field
  • Solid fundamentals in IC design, with exposure to transistor-level circuit design, simulation, and layout.
  • Strong UNIX/Linux skills, including shell usage (bash, tcsh) and basic environment debugging.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming, particularly Python, TCL, Shell.
  • Experience with EDA tools such as Custom Compiler/Cadence, ICV/Calibre/I, Star-RCXT/Helic, HSPICE or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of physical verification flows, including DRC, LVS, ERC, extraction, and PERC.
  • Understanding of PDKs and SPICE models, including setup, configuration, and validation.
  • Familiarity with job scheduling or compute environments and handling complex CAD infrastructures is beneficial.

Who You Are:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset with the ability to investigate complex technical issues.
  • Collaborative team player who works effectively in multi-functional and multi-cultural environments.
  • Ability to balance structure and creativity, following established processes while proposing improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, including the ability to explain technical topics clearly.
  • Proactive, reliable, and self-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
