What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Apply your engineering expertise and simulation knowledge to develop and curate technical data for Ansys Optics or Electronics products, ensuring it is optimized for Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI-powered applications.
  • Identify and address knowledge gaps by collaborating with subject matter experts, ensuring comprehensive and accurate support content for customers and internal teams.
  • Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines that feed internal and external databases, supporting the development and deployment of innovative AI models for customer support and training.
  • Continuously develop your technical proficiency in Ansys Optics or Electronics products, as well as state-of-the-art GenAI technologies relevant to technical support, learning, and development.
  • Adhere to legal and enterprise-level data governance policies when handling sensitive information, ensuring compliance and data integrity at all times.
  • Fully document all developed data workflows and present them to Data Audit teams, contributing to transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in strategic team and company initiatives, bringing fresh ideas and a proactive approach to evolving customer support methodologies.
  • Demonstrate agility by embracing new responsibilities and adapting to the evolving landscape of technical support and AI integration.

  • Foster a culture of innovation and agility within the team, influencing the broader adoption of AI and advanced technologies across Ansys and its customer base.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives that shape the future of customer engagement and technical support in the engineering software industry.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Optics, Photonics, Opto-Electronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; MS preferred.
  • Solid understanding of photonics and optical physics or electronics fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with Ansys software or other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, or PLM tools; familiarity with optical or electronics simulation software like HFSS or Maxwell is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting; knowledge of machine learning basics is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.
