You Are:

You are a motivated engineer eager to learn and provide support for existing internal Synopsys developer tools, which are used by engineers throughout the company to develop its products, and ensure the engineering community has a positive user experience. This includes tools such as IDEs, check-in management, regression testing, and code quality measurements.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Support and enhance internal developer tools utilized company-wide, including IDEs, check-in management, regression testing, and code quality measurement systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements for common modules and methodologies, ensuring alignment with modern development practices.
  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software tools using scripting (Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell) and web application frameworks.
  • Drive the adoption and integration of AI-assisted technologies and agentic AI to automate workflows and improve productivity across engineering functions.
  • Participate in the end-to-end deployment of DevEx solutions, leveraging CI/CD workflows and microservice architectures.
  • Balance multiple demands and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of reliability and performance for all delivered solutions.
  • Document processes, best practices, and contribute to knowledge sharing within the engineering community.

What You’ll Need:

  • Fluency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Perl, Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with both cloud-based and on-premises Linux infrastructure environments.
  • Hands-on experience developing applications in Python and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with web application frameworks.
  • Exposure to AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor IDE) and willingness to adopt new AI-driven tools.
  • Experience: 0 - 2 yrs

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with Linux environment, and general proficiency with tools, systems and procedures required to accomplish the job.
  • Exposure to various database technologies like Relational, NoSQL, etc.
  • Experience with CI/CD workflows.
  • Experience automating workflows using AI agents.

The Team You’ll Be A Part Of:

You will join the Synopsys Central Engineering (SCE) DevTools team, a diverse and collaborative group of engineers dedicated to supporting, building, and innovating the internal developer tools that power Synopsys’ product development. The team operates in a cross-functional, global environment, working closely with engineering, R&D, and IT groups to deliver state-of-the-art solutions that drive productivity and excellence across the company.

Working Mode:

This is an onsite role. The position is based in Santiago, Chile.
