We Are

Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.

You Are

You have spent years deep in the details of SoC and ASIC design, and somewhere along the way you realized that the most interesting problems are not just technical, they are the ones where you have to bridge what a customer actually needs with what is technically possible. You are the person who can sit in a room with a customer's design team, understand their power budget constraints and performance targets, and walk out knowing exactly which IP blocks will work and which ones will cause problems six months into integration.

You do not just answer questions, you ask better ones. When a customer says they need a PCIe solution, you dig into their use case, their process node, their timeline, and their real constraints before proposing anything. You have seen enough projects go sideways to know that the right IP choice in week one saves months of pain later.

Technical credibility matters to you. You can talk SerDes signal integrity with a PHY engineer in the morning and explain the business case for a subsystem to a VP in the afternoon without losing the thread of either conversation. You are comfortable operating in the space between sales, engineering, and the customer, translating requirements in all directions and keeping everyone aligned without needing someone else to referee.

At Synopsys, you will work on IP solutions that power everything from AI accelerators to autonomous vehicles, and the customers you support are building the next generation of chips that matter.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Work directly with customers across Korea to understand their SoC requirements, application constraints, and technical challenges, then recommend the right Interface IP solutions, including SerDes, PCIe, DDR, USB, MIPI, D2D, or Ethernet
  • Lead technical evaluations and IP selection processes, helping customers configure and integrate Synopsys IP into their designs while managing tradeoffs around performance, power, area, and schedule
  • Drive PHY IP porting engagements from requirements discovery through technical negotiation, working across process nodes and customer-specific design environments
  • Serve as the technical bridge between customers and Synopsys R&D, translating customer issues into actionable engineering requests and ensuring timely resolution of design and integration challenges
  • Support sales teams in competitive situations by positioning Synopsys IP solutions with technical depth and clarity, and help shape proposals that address both business and technical requirements
  • Organize and facilitate technical forums with customers, sales, marketing, program management, and engineering teams to align on strategy, resolve standoffs, and drive decisions forward
  • Track emerging technology trends and customer application needs across segments like AI, automotive, and data center to inform IP roadmap discussions and solution development

The Impact You Will Have

  • Enable customers to de-risk their SoC programs by selecting the right IP early, reducing integration issues and time-to-market delays that can cost months and millions
  • Accelerate IP adoption and customer success across Korea, directly influencing design wins and long-term partnerships in one of the most critical semiconductor markets globally
  • Shape how Synopsys IP products evolve by feeding real customer requirements and field insights back to R&D and product marketing teams
  • Build technical credibility and trust with customer engineering teams and executives, becoming the go-to resource for complex IP decisions and integration challenges
  • Drive revenue growth by supporting sales in technical evaluations, competitive displacements, and contract negotiations with deep product and application knowledge
  • Reduce escalations and project friction by proactively identifying gaps between customer expectations and product capabilities, then working across teams to close them
  • Influence the IP roadmap and service offerings by representing field perspective in internal strategy discussions and cross-functional planning

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field with 12+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 10+ years in IC design, verification, or semiconductor IP
  • Solid hands-on background in ASIC or SoC design and verification, with deep understanding of design flows, integration challenges, and silicon bring-up
  • Technical expertise in at least one major Interface IP domain such as SerDes, PCIe, DDR, USB, MIPI, D2D, or Ethernet, with working knowledge of protocols, PHY architecture, and integration requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing technical role such as field applications engineering, sales support, or technical consulting in the semiconductor IP, EDA, or SoC services space
  • Strong communication skills in Korean and English, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to engineers and business stakeholders
  • Experience working in a matrix organization across sales, engineering, marketing, and program management, with the ability to drive alignment and decisions without direct authority
  • Prior program management or project leadership experience on complex SoC or IP integration efforts is a plus, especially across multiple sites or time zones

Who You Are

  • You can independently diagnose a customer's integration issue, determine whether it is a design problem, a configuration gap, or a misunderstanding of the IP spec, and propose a path forward without needing to escalate every time
  • You are comfortable presenting technical recommendations to senior customer executives and defending your position with data, examples, and clear reasoning, even when the room pushes back
  • You treat every customer engagement like a long game, building trust and credibility over time rather than optimizing for the quick win, because you know that is what drives partnerships that last
  • You stay current on technology trends not because it is required but because you are genuinely curious about where the industry is headed, whether that is chiplet architectures, AI accelerators, or next-generation connectivity standards
  • You can manage five customer projects at different stages, keep track of what each one needs, and follow through without dropping threads or losing details in the shuffle
  • You know when to involve R&D, when to loop in sales, and when to handle something yourself, and you do not wait for permission to make the right call

At Synopsys, we want talented people of every background to feel valued and supported to do their best work. Synopsys considers all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, military veteran status, or disability.
