You Are
You have spent years building relationships inside complex semiconductor organizations, and you know that winning at Samsung means understanding not just the tools but the design challenges, the roadmap pressures, and the people who make decisions three layers deep. You do not sell features, you sell outcomes that matter to a design director trying to tape out on schedule or a memory architect evaluating a new flow.
You are equally comfortable in a technical deep dive with an engineering team and a commercial negotiation with procurement. You know how to move a deal forward when there are five stakeholders, three competing priorities, and no clear answer. Revenue growth is not abstract to you, it is the result of showing up prepared, understanding what changed since last quarter, and knowing when to bring in the right specialist or when to close it yourself.
You have worked in EDA or semiconductor sales long enough to know what good looks like, and you have the Samsung relationships or the credibility to build them quickly. At Synopsys, you will own one of the most strategic accounts in the industry, and what you do will directly affect the revenue line.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own and grow the commercial relationship with Samsung Electronics across LSI and Memory divisions, driving revenue growth as the primary success metric
- Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through contract negotiation and close, leading complex enterprise deals with multiple stakeholders
- Build and maintain executive and technical relationships within Samsung design, engineering, and procurement teams
- Drive quarterly forecasting, pipeline management, and account planning using Salesforce or equivalent CRM systems
- Coordinate with field application engineers, product specialists, and technical teams to align Synopsys EDA and IP solutions with Samsung design requirements
- Lead renewals, expansions, and upsell opportunities across existing Synopsys tool deployments
- Negotiate enterprise licensing agreements, terms, and commercial structures that meet both customer needs and Synopsys business objectives

- Drive measurable revenue growth within one of the most strategic semiconductor accounts globally
- Expand Synopsys footprint across Samsung LSI and Memory design teams, increasing tool adoption and deployment scale
- Protect and grow existing customer relationships, ensuring long-term partnership stability and renewal success
- Influence Samsung's design methodology and toolchain decisions by positioning the right Synopsys solutions at the right time
- Contribute directly to Korea region sales performance and quarterly revenue targets
- Strengthen Synopsys presence in the memory and system LSI market segments through sustained account momentum
- Shape how Samsung engineering teams adopt and scale EDA and IP solutions that power next-generation semiconductor development
What You'll Need
- 15+ years of field sales experience in the EDA industry, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth in complex enterprise accounts
- Deep understanding of semiconductor design flows, methodologies, and the technical challenges faced by design and verification teams
- Existing relationships within Samsung Electronics or demonstrated ability to build executive and technical relationships quickly in large semiconductor organizations
- Experience managing long sales cycles, multi-stakeholder negotiations, and enterprise licensing agreements
- Strong commercial acumen and comfort navigating procurement, legal, and technical buyer dynamics
- Fluency in Korean and English, both written and spoken
- Experience selling Synopsys EDA tools or IP portfolios is a strong plus

- You can walk into a room with a Samsung design director and in ten minutes understand what is blocking their tapeout schedule and which Synopsys solution actually helps
- You manage a complex pipeline without losing track of where each deal stands, what needs to happen next, and who owns the next move
- You know when to bring in a specialist and when to drive the conversation yourself, and you do not wait for permission to move a deal forward
- You treat relationships like long-term investments, not transactional touches, and people at Samsung pick up the phone when you call because you have earned that trust
- You push back when a deal structure does not make sense or when internal teams need more context to support your strategy
- You stay organized across renewals, new business, forecasting, and internal coordination without dropping threads or missing commitments
