We Are

Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.

You Are

You have spent years working at the boundary between electromagnetic theory and real product development, and you know that the hardest part is not running the simulation, it is setting it up correctly in the first place so the answer actually means something. You have debugged enough signal integrity problems to recognize when a customer is asking the wrong question, and you know how to redirect the conversation without making them feel lost.

You are comfortable walking into a room where a design team is stuck on a power delivery issue and walking out two hours later with a working model in HFSS or SIwave that shows them exactly where the problem is. You do not need a perfect spec to get started. You listen, you ask clarifying questions, and you build something useful with incomplete information because that is what the job requires.

You have worked in labs, you have worked in design teams, and you understand that a simulation is only as good as the decisions that went into it. At Synopsys, you will work directly with semiconductor and electronics customers across Korea who depend on getting their designs right the first time, and your ability to translate their problems into simulation workflows will directly affect whether their products ship on time.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Engage directly with customers working on chip, package, and PCB designs to diagnose signal integrity, power integrity, and EMC challenges and recommend the right simulation approach using ANSYS HFSS, SIwave and Q3D
  • Build and deliver live technical demonstrations that show how ANSYS tools solve real customer problems, not generic feature tours but workflows tailored to what that specific design team is trying to accomplish
  • Provide post-sales technical support and consulting to existing customers, helping them set up models, troubleshoot convergence issues, and interpret results in ways that inform design decisions
  • Train customer engineering teams on ANSYS simulation products, from first-time users learning the interface to experienced engineers looking to optimize runtime or accuracy
  • Collaborate with the Synopsys product development team to communicate customer requirements, test beta releases, and provide feedback that shapes future product roadmaps
  • Support the sales team in technical evaluations, competitive benchmarks, and proof-of-concept projects that help customers understand the value of moving to or expanding their use of ANSYS solutions
  • Travel up to 50% across Korea and occasionally the region to meet customers on-site, deliver training, and support critical project milestones

The Impact You Will Have

  • Enable customers to solve complex electromagnetic problems faster and with more confidence, directly improving their time to market and product performance
  • Drive adoption and retention of ANSYS tools across key accounts in Korea's semiconductor and electronics industries by ensuring customers see measurable value in their workflows
  • Influence product development priorities by surfacing real customer pain points and use cases that the engineering team would not otherwise see
  • Build long-term technical relationships with design teams who trust you to help them navigate the hardest parts of their projects, not just sell them software
  • Expand the technical capability of the local sales and applications team by sharing best practices, simulation techniques, and customer insights
  • Help customers avoid costly design respins by catching signal integrity and power delivery issues in simulation before they reach the prototype stage
  • Contribute to competitive wins by demonstrating clear technical advantages in benchmarks that matter to the customer's actual design challenges

What You'll Need

  • Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering with a focus on electromagnetics, signal integrity, power integrity, or related fields
  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in signal integrity, power integrity, or EMC work, ideally in a design, test, or product development environment
  • Expert-level knowledge of ANSYS HFSS, SIwave, and Q3D, you should be able to set up, run, and interpret results from complex 3D electromagnetic simulations without handholding
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, you will be working with global teams and need to communicate technical concepts clearly across regions
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer projects simultaneously without losing track of deadlines or deliverables
  • Experience in a customer-facing role is a strong plus, whether that is applications engineering, field engineering, or technical consulting
  • Familiarity with other ECAE or ECAD tools, or direct semiconductor industry experience, will set you apart

Who You Are

  • You can walk into a customer meeting, listen to a design problem described in vague terms, and translate it into a concrete simulation plan that the team understands and trusts
  • You are comfortable saying "I do not know, but I will find out" and then actually following through, customers remember that more than someone who guesses
  • You have strong problem-solving instincts and can debug a simulation setup or a customer workflow without needing someone to tell you where to start looking
  • You are organized enough to juggle multiple customer engagements, internal projects, and travel schedules without dropping threads or missing commitments
  • You can explain a complex tradeoff between simulation accuracy and runtime to a design manager in two sentences without losing the nuance
  • You are willing to travel frequently across Korea and occasionally beyond, sometimes on short notice, to support critical customer needs
