Job Description for ImSym AE
Synopsys Optical Solutions is looking for an Applications Engineer to work in the Customer Success team to support the Synopsys suite of optical system design products.
In this role, you will work closely with customers to solve complex technical challenges. You should have an ability to learn about new and advanced technology application areas and be skilled in the use of advanced design tools. You will work in a collaborative environment, interfacing with customers, software development, sales, and product teams.
This position will emphasize supporting customers in China using the Synopsys industry leading opticalsystem design and analysis software.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively support customers and prospective customers with diverse and complex technical questionsvia email, web, and face-to-face interactions
- Partner with the sales and marketing teams to understand and meet customers’ technical and business challenges
- Identify, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in a customer environment
- Give insight and direction to improve usability, applicability, and adoption of Synopsys' products
- Develop and use technical material in various formats for support, training, webinars, and customer visits
Qualifications:
- At least 3years of experience in one or more disciplines: optics, photonics, photonic integrated circuits,opto-electronic devices or physics
- A Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. in any of the following disciplines: Optics, Optical Sciences, Data Analytics, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics
- Familiar with lighting design or imaging design for Automotive industry
- Ability to work on many concurrent projects, both on a team and autonomously
- Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills
- Ability to understand customer requirements and expectations
- Experience with AI systems, illumination tools, stray light tools, solid modeling tools and photonics tools is a plus
- Willingness for domestic and occasional international travel to support and train customers.
