Synopsys is seeking a Strategic Management Staff professional to develop and synthesize China-specific insights that inform corporate initiatives, strengthen strategic decision-making, and accelerate growth. This role partners closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to translate complex market, technology, and ecosystem signals into clear, actionable strategies.


Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Research and develop insights on new market opportunities, application verticals, and emerging technology disruptors, and present findings to management in a clear, structured manner. 
  2. Analyze the competitive landscape, industry structure, and future market and technology trends, providing data‑driven recommendations to support strategic decisions. 
  3. Produce regular intelligence and progress updates (daily, weekly, monthly) covering ecosystem developments, competitor activities, and operational status, with a focus on strategic initiatives and priority programs. 
  4. Synthesize volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous information into concise conclusions, clear takeaways, and actionable recommendations using both qualitative and quantitative approaches. 
  5. Structure and define ambiguous challenges, framing them into solvable questions and decision paths. 
  6. Work effectively across diverse, cross‑functional teams to align perspectives, drive consensus, and mobilize organizations to action. 
  7. Build and maintain trust‑based relationships with partners, customers, and internal stakeholders to better support organizational objectives. 
  8. Communicate effectively with all audiences using well‑structured narratives, professional presentations, and executive‑level materials. 
  9. Continuously develop a personal leadership style, leveraging individual strengths, passions, and values while demonstrating ownership and accountability.

Position Requirements:

  1. Prior full‑time or internship experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate strategy, or related roles. 
  2. MBA with a major in Finance, Business Analytics, or related fields, or graduation from a top university in China or globally. 
  3. Ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple workstreams simultaneously. 
  4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese. 
  5. Comfort working in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments with limited information.

Preferred skillsets

  1. At least 2 years of experience in market research or business strategy within a high‑tech sector, preferably in semiconductors, EDA, or CAE industry. 
  2. Proficiency in business intelligence and data analysis tools, including Excel, PowerPoint; capability of using AI tools is a plus. 
  3. Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to see broader strategic implications. 
  4. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build credibility across organizations.
