Your expertise in semiconductor technology, combined with your marketing or business development experience, makes you a valuable asset in positioning Synopsys as a leader in the industry. Your ability to use tools like Microsoft Excel, Pivot tables, and PowerPoint is second to none. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is essential, and a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering would be a significant advantage. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Be the primary contact person for sales and our product teams for product availability and roadmap.
- Establish and maintain deep relationships with key foundry personnel, enabling Synopsys to quickly get answers to questions and coordinate meetings between foundries and our customers.
- Work with each of the foundry business development teams to collect, assess and disseminate foundry information to the key stakeholders within Synopsys. This includes Foundry roadmaps, process/node changes and the potential impact these changes have on our products and schedules.
- Maintain a dashboard of foundry information, Synopsys foundry-based IP roadmaps, and foundry-specific presentation materials.
- Leverage internal databases and customer demand to provide feedback to the foundry on market and application trends.
- Coordinate and position with the foundry for our test chips.
- Evaluate and report on each foundry’s strategy, key market segments, and top customers to guide our IP strategy with the customer and internally.
- Present key market trends and process technology updates to strategy teams for product optimization and process alignment trends.
- Provide regular updates on packaging trends and their impact on the foundries.
- Develop presentations that explain foundry roadmaps and trends for customer meetings and internal training sessions.
- Be able to position processes/nodes for specific customer applications (HPC, AI, IoT, consumer, automotive, etc).
- Be the Synopsys IP representative to present at foundry seminars.

- Facilitate seamless communication between Synopsys and foundry partners, ensuring timely and accurate information exchange.
- Drive Synopsys’ product optimization by providing insightful feedback on foundry processes and market trends.
- Enhance Synopsys’ market positioning through strategic presentations and updates on foundry technologies and trends.
- Support the development and execution of Synopsys’ IP strategy by leveraging your deep understanding of foundry roadmaps and market segments.
- Ensure Synopsys’ product teams are well-informed about foundry developments, enabling proactive adjustments to product roadmaps.
- Strengthen Synopsys’ relationships with key foundry personnel, fostering collaboration and mutual success.
What You’ll Need:
- Experience in the semiconductor industry, ideally at a semiconductor foundry.
- 5+ years of foundry marketing or business development experience.
- A deep knowledge of semiconductor technology, with the ability to articulate technical differences between technology nodes and PDKs within a specific foundry and between different foundries.
- Exceptional business acumen and sufficient knowledge of the market segment, applications, and technology to drive IP strategies.
- Excellent command and communication skills; able to create and deliver presentations to management, foundry partners, product managers, R&D, and Sales.
- Organizationally savvy and able to work in a matrixed, team-oriented environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required; a graduate degree in EE is desired.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Pivot tables, and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in English.
