What You’ll Be Doing:
- Implementing system-level test strategies for HAV platforms (HAPS, ZeBu), covering hardware, firmware, and infrastructure.
- Defining and executing test plans for new product introductions, feature releases, and customer-specific configurations.
- Leading manufacturing validation of FPGA-based prototyping systems, emulation platforms, board-level hardware, high-speed interconnects, and power systems.
- Managing test equipment deployment, including fixtures, stations, and accessories, and overseeing final assembly test for embedded firmware and low-level software.
- Driving root cause analysis for complex system failures across HW/FW/SW boundaries and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Building, mentoring, and managing a high-performing test engineering team, setting goals, and fostering a culture of technical rigor and continuous improvement.
- Establishing scalable test methodologies, automation frameworks, and regression strategies for quality and efficiency.
- Partnering with R&D, hardware, firmware, quality, reliability management, and field operations to ensure test coverage and support customer escalations.
- Owning test schedules, deliverables, and resource allocation across multiple programs, communicating status and risks to senior leadership.
- Managing external test development and fixture suppliers, governing test release and change control, and integrating factory test automation with CM/EMS MES systems.
The Impact You Will Have:
- Deliver clear, measurable test strategy and coverage across PCBA, subsystem, and system tests, ensuring high-quality product releases.
- Drive high availability and scalability of test fixtures, testers, spares, and test networks, supporting global manufacturing operations.
- Enable robust test automation and MES integration, providing accessible logs and automated reporting for data-driven decision-making.
- Lead a team that systematically identifies top issues, collaborates with R&D/Test Development to drive closure, and manages product diagnosis.
- Reduce defect escape rates and improve yield through continuous improvement of test methodologies and quality metrics.
- Accelerate time-to-market for new products and features by optimizing test efficiency and process scalability.
- Support critical customer escalations with deep technical engagement, enhancing customer satisfaction and trust in Synopsys platforms.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in hardware/system validation or test engineering.
- 3–5+ years in an engineering management or technical leadership role.
- Strong background in FPGA-based systems, emulation, or complex hardware platforms.
- Experience testing systems involving HW/FW/SW integration and debugging cross-disciplinary system issues.
- Hands-on understanding of FPGA architecture and tool flows, high-speed interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, DDR, SerDes), and embedded systems.
- Proficiency in Linux-based development environments and automation frameworks.
- Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
- Experience managing globally distributed teams and customer-facing validation or field support environments is a plus.

You'll join the Hardware-Assisted Verification (HAPS/ZeBu) team, a group of passionate engineers dedicated to delivering world-class FPGA-based prototyping and emulation platforms. The team partners closely with Manufacturing OPS, R&D Hardware Design, Customer Support, and Field Operations to ensure system-level quality, performance, and customer readiness. Together, you’ll drive innovation, reliability, and excellence in hardware verification, supporting global semiconductor leaders in accelerating their SoC design and verification schedules.
