We Are

Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.

You Are

You have spent years turning ambiguity into action, and you know the difference between a program that runs itself and one that needs constant rescue. The work that excites you is not the big announcement, it is the mechanism behind it: the review that surfaces the right decision, the tracker that keeps ten leaders aligned, the agenda that turns a two-hour meeting into a thirty-minute one with clear next steps.

You are the person who walks into a room where three teams think they are aligned and quietly realizes they are not, then fixes it without drama. You do not need perfect information to move. You ask the right questions, map what matters, and build the structure that lets other people do their best work. When a senior leader says "we need to get our arms around this," you are already drafting the plan.

You have run operating rhythms before, not just participated in them. You know what makes a quarterly business review actually useful versus performative. You are comfortable holding a VP to a deadline and equally comfortable absorbing the work no one else sees. At Synopsys, you will work directly with the Chief IP Development Office and own the programs that keep two major engineering organizations moving forward.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own the full lifecycle of strategic programs across IPG and SSG, from scoping and planning through execution and closure, including tracking milestones, dependencies, and commitments across leadership
  • Run the operating rhythm of the Executive Office: strategic account reviews, staff meetings, all-hands forums, quarterly business reviews, and leadership check-ins, including agenda design, pre-reads, minutes, action tracking, and follow-up
  • Build and maintain dashboards, status reports, and executive summaries that leadership uses to track progress and make decisions, working across teams to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Prepare the CIDO and leadership team for reviews and planning cycles by assembling agendas, data, and materials that are clear, accurate, and ready to use
  • Drive cross-functional action items to closure, coordinating across engineering, product management, finance, and HR to keep commitments on track
  • Improve how the office operates by refining existing mechanisms and standing up new ones as the organization scales
  • Partner with the CIDO's Executive Assistant on scheduling, logistics, and day-to-day coordination for leadership meetings, off-sites, and large events across multiple time zones

The Impact You Will Have

  • Leadership decisions move faster and with better information because the reviews you run surface the right data at the right time
  • Cross-organizational commitments close on schedule because you track them, follow up, and hold owners accountable without letting things slip
  • Senior leaders spend less time chasing status and more time on strategy because the reporting you build is consistent, accurate, and easy to consume
  • The Executive Office becomes a model for how an engineering organization should operate, with mechanisms that scale as IPG and SSG grow
  • Programs that would otherwise stall in ambiguity move forward because you bring structure, clarity, and follow-through
  • The CIDO and leadership team are prepared for every review, every planning cycle, and every decision point because you have done the work to make them ready
  • Junior program managers and coordinators learn how to run programs well because you mentor them and set the standard

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years in program management, project management, or business operations, or an advanced degree and 3+ years of related experience
  • A track record of running multiple workstreams concurrently and delivering them on schedule without needing to be chased
  • Strong written communication skills, specifically the ability to turn a complex discussion into a concise summary a senior executive can act on
  • Sound judgment about what to escalate, what to decide yourself, and what to absorb so leadership can focus on higher-level work
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint
  • 8+ years of program management or operations experience is a plus, as is experience supporting an executive staff in a large engineering or technology organization
  • Experience standing up an operating process from scratch, not just running one that already exists, is a strong differentiator
  • Semiconductor, EDA, or silicon IP background is valuable but not required
  • Hands-on use of program management tools like Jira, Smartsheet, Asana, or MS Project is helpful, as is experience applying AI productivity tools to daily operations

Who You Are

  • You see what needs doing and start, rather than waiting for someone to assign it to you, and you follow through until it is closed
  • Commitments, dates, and numbers are right the first time because you check your work and you understand that details matter when leadership is making decisions
  • You stay calm and effective when priorities shift on short notice, and you can hold multiple threads in your head without losing track of any of them
  • You are credible with senior people and comfortable holding a VP to a deadline or pushing back when a plan is missing something critical
  • You are service-oriented and willing to do the unglamorous work that makes an office run, from fixing a broken tracker to coordinating a last-minute review
  • You handle confidential business, customer, and personnel information with discretion and judgment

The Team You'll Be Part Of

You will report to the Technical Chief of Staff to the Chief IP Development Officer and work closely with the CIDO's Executive Assistant and with leaders across the IP Group and Silicon Solutions Group. The Chief IP Development Office sets direction and drives execution across both organizations, and you will own the mechanisms that keep that work moving. This is a seat with direct exposure to senior engineering leadership and a wide view of how a large engineering organization operates. The scope is broad by design and will grow as the Executive Office is built out.

We offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs. Our total rewards include both monetary and non-monetary offerings. Your recruiter will provide more details about the salary range and benefits during the hiring process.
