We Are

Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.

You Are

You graduated recently or finished an internship where you got your hands on real data, maybe built a dashboard that someone actually used, or experimented with ChatGPT API calls in a side project and thought "I could build something useful with this." You are drawn to the question of how AI can make boring work disappear, not in a theoretical way, but in a "can we automate this contract search so Legal stops spending three hours digging through folders" kind of way. SQL does not scare you. Neither does opening a Python notebook and figuring out why a script broke. You have probably built something with Generative AI already, even if it was just for a class or a hackathon, and you are curious about RAG, prompt engineering, and how these tools actually get deployed inside a company with 30,000 people. You are comfortable asking questions when requirements are unclear and you learn fast. At Synopsys, you will work on AI and automation projects that touch Legal, Procurement, and Operations teams, and the solutions you help build will change how people find contracts, generate reports, and make decisions every day.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Build and test AI-powered assistants for contract search and document management using Generative AI tools and RAG frameworks
  • Write SQL queries in Snowflake to pull contract data, generate reports, and support analytics requests from Legal, Procurement, and Operations teams
  • Create dashboards and visualizations in Power BI or Tableau that make contract and business data accessible and actionable
  • Support contract lifecycle management processes including metadata tagging, document intake, compliance tracking, and reporting workflows
  • Automate repetitive reporting and business processes using Python, workflow tools, and AI integrations
  • Participate in cross-functional project meetings with Legal, Procurement, Finance, and IT to gather requirements, test solutions, and document workflows
  • Document AI solutions, user guides, and business requirements so others can understand and maintain what you build
  • Support and Enhance Contracts Lifecycle management system.
  • Familiar with SAP HANA and other SAP systems.
  • Develop APIs in Python and other scripting languages.

The Impact You Will Have

  • Legal and Procurement teams will find contracts in seconds instead of hours because the AI search tools you built actually work
  • Business stakeholders will make faster decisions using the dashboards and reports you create in Power BI and Snowflake
  • Repetitive manual processes will disappear as the automation workflows you help deploy take over contract data extraction and reporting tasks
  • AI solutions you test and refine will scale across the organization, changing how thousands of employees interact with contracts and business data
  • Data quality and reporting accuracy will improve because you caught gaps and fixed them before they became downstream problems
  • Cross-functional teams will move faster on AI and analytics projects because you documented requirements clearly and kept everyone aligned
  • The CLM platform will become more intelligent and useful as the AI features you help build get adopted by users across the company

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience, internships, academic projects, or personal work that involved building something real with data or code
  • Working knowledge of SQL for querying databases and generating reports
  • Basic Python skills for scripting, automation, or data analysis
  • Familiarity with Generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Microsoft Copilot, even if just through coursework or side projects
  • Experience with Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, or similar data platforms is a strong plus
  • Exposure to RAG concepts, prompt engineering, or workflow automation tools will set you apart

Who You Are

  • You can look at a messy dataset, write a SQL query that makes sense of it, and explain what you found to someone who does not write code
  • When something breaks or does not work as expected, you dig in and figure it out instead of waiting for someone else to fix it
  • You are comfortable working with business teams who may not speak in technical terms, and you can translate their needs into something you can actually build
  • Learning new tools and technologies does not intimidate you, whether it is a new AI framework, a reporting platform, or a workflow automation system
  • You ask clarifying questions when requirements are vague because you would rather get it right than guess and rebuild later
  • You document your work clearly so the next person, or future you, can pick it up and understand what you built and why
