You Are:

You are a highly motivated and experienced Applications Engineer with a passion for cutting-edge technology. With at least 15 years of experience in design, verification, or applications, you bring deep expertise in ASIC Front-End or Back-End development and a broad understanding of SoC integration challenges. Your strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills enable you to address highly complex technical challenges across the customer deployment lifecycle. You have a keen eye for detail and a high degree of self-motivation, driving technical excellence across customer engagements.


Your exceptional verbal and written communication skills allow you to effectively collaborate with customers, R&D teams, and engineering leadership. You are recognized for your expertise in one or more key technology domains and are frequently relied upon for technical guidance on challenging integration and deployment topics.


You are excited about working with Synopsys' UCIe (Universal Chiplet Interconnect Express) IP and the latest industry specifications/applications on various market segments. You are ready to provide technical leadership for complex customer deployments, contribute to integration methodologies and best practices, and help drive product improvements through deep understanding of customer requirements. Some travel is required for this role, and you are comfortable with that.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Understand complex IIP applications across diverse customer SoCs, chiplet architectures, and system implementations.
  • Stay at the forefront of evolving ASIC/SoC design methodologies, advanced process technologies, and EDA tools.
  • Provide expert guidance on challenging IIP integration topics including simulation, synthesis, floorplanning, STA, DFT, package integration, silicon bring-up, validation, and system-level deployment.
  • Lead technical reviews for highly complex customer programs and critical integration milestones.
  • Serve as a recognized subject matter expert in one or more technology domains and provide technical consultation to customers, AE teams, and R&D organizations.
  • Partner closely with customer engineering leadership to resolve challenging integration and deployment issues.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to identify recurring customer challenges and recommend product enhancements that improve deployment success.
  • Develop and promote technical methodologies, best practices, application notes, and deployment guidance across the Applications Engineering organization.
  • Mentor and develop applications engineers across multiple projects and technology areas.
  • Participate in R&D design reviews and contribute technical insights that help improve future product deployment success.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Typically requires at least 15 years of design, verification, implementation, validation, or applications engineering experience.
  • Deep expertise in ASIC Front-End or Back-End development and advanced SoC integration.
  • Recognized expertise in one or more domains such as UCIe, PCIe/CXL, high-speed interface integration, silicon validation, implementation, or post-silicon bring-up.
  • Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction through customer deployment experience and technical leadership.


Preferred Experience:


  • Extensive experience with advanced technology processes (10nm/7nm/5nm/3nm and beyond).
  • Strong understanding of Die-to-Die, PCIe, CXL, and chiplet ecosystems.
  • Advanced silicon debug, validation, and hardware troubleshooting experience.
  • Broad knowledge of EDA methodologies including P&R, Physical Verification, Signal Integrity, and Power Integrity.

The Team You’ll Be A Part Of:

You will be part of a dynamic team focused on integrating leading-edge Interface IP (IIP) into ASIC SoC/systems for next-generation products. Our team collaborates closely with customers to provide UCIe IP integration guidance and support throughout their SoC flow. We work on the latest industry specifications/applications and contribute to the continuous improvement of Synopsys' IIP products.
