You Are:
You are an experienced Applications Engineer with a passion for optics and automotive technology. You have at least 3 years of experience in fields such as optics, geometrical optics, lighting, physics, automotive lighting equipment, or automotive optical equipment. Holding a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in optics, optical science, engineering, or physics, you possess a deep understanding of lighting and imaging design in the automotive industry. Familiarity with CAE simulation software, ray tracing simulation, and 3D CAD is a plus, and programming knowledge in Python, VBA, or VB.net would be advantageous. You excel at multitasking and can manage multiple projects either independently or as part of a team. You have excellent problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and the ability to understand and meet customer requirements and expectations. Proficiency in English and a willingness to travel domestically and internationally for customer support are essential.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Providing technical support for Synopsys' LucidShape product, a design software for automotive lighting.
- Collaborating with sales and marketing teams to understand and address customers' technical issues.
- Introducing and demonstrating products to customers.
- Listening to customer needs and communicating them to the development team to enhance product offerings.
- Conducting training sessions and workshops for customers to maximize their use of Synopsys products.
- Traveling domestically and internationally to provide on-site customer support and training.

- Promoting the use of Synopsys products through effective technical support and problem-solving.
- Helping to improve Synopsys products by conveying customer feedback to the development team.
- Supporting Japanese customers by utilizing Synopsys' specialized optical design and analysis software for the automotive industry.
- Enhancing product knowledge to provide top-tier technical support to customers.
- Building strong relationships with customers by understanding their applications, issues, and needs.
What You’ll Need:
- At least 3 years of experience in optics, geometrical optics, lighting, physics, or related fields.
- A degree in optics, optical science, engineering, or physics (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral).
- Experience with CAE simulation software, ray tracing simulation, and 3D CAD.
- Programming knowledge in Python, VBA, or VB.net.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
