What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers within your assigned territory or named accounts.
  • Drive renewal business and generate new sales to achieve or exceed revenue objectives, focusing on both short-term wins and long-term growth.
  • Create and execute strategic account plans, connecting Synopsys solutions to customer challenges and priorities to elevate accounts to strategic partnerships.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations, utilizing metrics and proof points to demonstrate the value of Synopsys products and services, while differentiating from competitors.
  • Build relationships with key business leaders and customer executives, engaging them as champions for Synopsys solutions.
  • Coordinate sales efforts globally with marketing, account teams, sales management, legal, and technical services to ensure seamless customer engagement.
  • Draft clear, effective proposals and quotations, ensuring maximum value for customers and fairness for Synopsys, addressing key issues and requirements.
  • Maintain healthy pipelines through diligent lead generation, accurate Salesforce data entry, and timely administrative tasks.
  • Stay up-to-date on Synopsys’ evolving product portfolio to facilitate sales efforts and relay client feedback to development teams.
  • Coach and mentor earlier career sales professionals, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical, engineering, business, or related field with 6+ years of related experience OR 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated success in technical sales roles, consistently exceeding targets.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities while tracking progress effectively.
  • Autonomous work style with proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced networking and relationship-building abilities, driving new contacts and maintaining business partnerships.
  • Fluency in English and the local language (Japanese).
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% regionally.
  • Knowledge of engineering analysis and technology; familiarity with Synopsys products/services and pricing is a plus.
  • Exceptional executive presentation, communication, and persuasion skills.
