We Are

Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.

You Are

You have spent the last few years deep in the world of high frequency electromagnetics, antenna design, or signal integrity, and you have learned that simulation is only useful if it actually solves the problem in front of you. You know the difference between a model that converges and one that gives you an answer you can trust, and you care about that difference because your customers depend on it.

You are comfortable sitting with an engineer who is stuck on a cross-talk issue at 2pm and walking them through S-parameter analysis, then jumping into a Python script at 4pm to automate their workflow so they do not have to ask the same question twice. You do not need a perfect ticket description to get started. You ask the right questions, reproduce the issue, and find a path forward.

You have worked with tools like HFSS, ADS, or similar electromagnetic simulators, and you understand what is happening under the hood well enough to explain why a mesh refinement matters or when a boundary condition is wrong. At Synopsys, you will work directly with customers across Japan, helping them deploy simulation software that shapes the next generation of wireless, automotive, and semiconductor products.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide technical support to customers using Synopsys high frequency simulation tools, including HFSS, SBR++, and related electromagnetic solvers for antenna, RF, signal integrity, and power integrity applications
  • Troubleshoot complex simulation issues involving S-parameters, wave propagation, antenna radiation patterns, eye diagrams, transmission line impedance, and power delivery networks
  • Build and deliver automation workflows using Python, C#, or JavaScript to help customers streamline their signal integrity, power integrity, EMC, and RF simulation processes
  • Work closely with R&D to file defect reports, verify fixes, and translate customer requirements into actionable product improvement suggestions
  • Conduct technical demonstrations, webinars, and online training sessions for customers and channel partners in Japan
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams to support pre-sales technical discussions and post-sales deployment
  • Participate in field testing of new software releases to ensure features and workflows meet real-world customer needs

The Impact You Will Have

  • You will directly reduce time-to-market for customers designing antennas, RF systems, and high-speed digital products by helping them solve simulation bottlenecks faster
  • Your automation scripts and workflow improvements will scale across customer organizations, turning one-off fixes into repeatable processes
  • The defect reports and feature requests you submit will shape future releases of Synopsys simulation tools used by engineers worldwide
  • You will build long-term technical relationships with customers in Japan, becoming the trusted expert they turn to when designs get complex
  • Your ability to explain electromagnetic theory in plain language will help customers adopt advanced simulation techniques they would otherwise avoid
  • You will contribute to customer satisfaction scores and renewal rates by delivering support that is both technically rigorous and genuinely helpful
  • The training and demonstrations you deliver will expand Synopsys footprint in the Japanese electronics and automotive markets

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field with a focus on electromagnetics
  • 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in high frequency simulation, antenna design, signal integrity, or power integrity analysis
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, C#, or JavaScript for automating simulation workflows
  • Working knowledge of electromagnetic simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS, SBR++, CST Microwave Studio, or ADS
  • Solid understanding of high frequency concepts including S-parameters, wave propagation, antenna radiation patterns, transmission line theory, and scattering analysis
  • Fluency in Japanese and professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken
  • Experience with signal and power integrity analysis techniques such as eye diagrams, cross-talk analysis, TDR, and power delivery network modeling is a strong plus

Who You Are

  • You can take a vague customer question like "my simulation is not working" and turn it into a reproducible test case with a clear diagnosis in under an hour
  • You explain technical tradeoffs in plain language, whether you are talking to a junior engineer or a senior architect, without losing the nuance that matters
  • You stay organized when managing five open support cases, two automation requests, and a webinar prep all in the same week
  • You are comfortable saying "I do not know yet, but I will find out" and then actually following through with a real answer
  • You treat every customer interaction as a chance to build trust, not just close a ticket
  • You can travel up to 25% of the time to meet customers on-site, deliver training, or support field deployments across Japan
