We are looking for an Application Engineer to join the team – roles & responsibilities are given below.

  • The Implementation Application Engineer is adept in Synthesis and Place & Route domain and flows, who drives customer adoption of Synopsys Implementation (Fusion Compiler) and services. Provide technical and engineering insight and direction to support and improve usability, applicability, and adoption of products, platforms and solutions to meet customer business needs.
  • AE is responsible for rolling out new product methodologies to the customers by providing training and technical support. The Engineer will influence product definition and direction by the BU by providing customer feedback.
  • The Engineer plays an effective role in account planning, where they work as a part of the account team to develop the solutions to customer problems by using their in depth knowledge of customer challenges and issues.

This position will involve the support of advanced technologies , and will include both hands-on investigation as well as taking a leadership role in driving issue resolution and defining technical engagement strategies

Key Qualifications:
  • Design experience should include ASIC design using industry-standard tools (Synthesis, Floorplanning, Placement, Optimization, Routing)
  • RTL to GDSII full flow experience or knowledge is preferable
  • Strong interest and understanding of Advanced Node & Design methodologies are required.
  • Deep Synopsys Implementation tool (Logical and Physical Synthesis, Macro Placement, Routing at advanced Node , Static Timing Analysis, including noise analysis) experience and knowledge are required.
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation/communication skills are mandatory.
  • Customer sensitivity, the ability to multiplex many issues & set priorities, and the desire to help customers exploit new technologies are essential for success in the position.


    Preferred Experience:
  • BSEE or equivalent, required with 5+ years of experience, or MSEE, or equivalent with 3+ years of experience.
  • Tool knowledge expected: Back end P&R tools (Fusion Compiler, ICC2, Innovus)
  • Tool knowledge (preferred) : front end Synthesis tools (Fusion Compiler, Design Compiler, Genus),
  • Tool knowledge (preferred): STA (Primetime, Tempus),
  • Scripting/Coding knowledge (tcl, perl, python)

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $150,000-$226,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.
