We Are

We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.

You Are

You have spent years in compliance and risk management.  You have learned that good compliance work is not about checking boxes; it is about understanding where the real risk lies and building systems that actually prevent problems before they grow. You think in controls, not just policies. You know the difference between a third-party review that surfaces meaningful red flags and one that just generates paperwork.

You are comfortable sitting in a room with GTM, talking about the risks presented by a channel partner relationship, and walking out with a plan that makes sense for the business without compromising integrity. You do not wait for perfect data; you work with what you have, ask the right questions, and build dashboards that tell a story people can act on.

You have a point of view. You push back when a risk assessment is too surface-level or a control is not going to hold up in practice. You are organized enough to manage due diligence queues, control monitoring, and risk assessments at once, and pragmatic enough to know when escalation is the right call.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Conduct third-party due diligence reviews using platforms like Exiger, analyze risk findings, escalate issues as appropriate, recommend mitigation strategies, support onboarding and renewals, and drive process improvements.
  • Perform risk-based monitoring and testing of key compliance controls across the global Ethics & Compliance (E&C) Program, track remediation efforts, and ensure controls are working in practice.
  • Build and maintain dashboards using tools like Tableau or Power BI to analyze company data, identify trends, spot risks, and support leadership reporting and decision-making.
  • Review and adjudicate preapproval requests, including business courtesies, conflicts of interest, and university tool donations, applying sound judgment and escalating risks when needed.
  • Apply AI in practical ways to automate workflows, strengthen analysis, and support more effective compliance monitoring and reporting.
  • Support the development and execution of the global E&C Program, including anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABAC), anti-money laundering, and antitrust compliance initiatives.
  • Support risk assessments (ABAC, third-party, geographic) and translate findings into actionable program improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Legal, Finance, Internal Audit, HR, and the business to embed compliance controls and promote a culture of integrity.

The Impact You Will Have

  • You will help scale a global E&C Program that protects Synopsys from regulatory and reputational risk across more than 30,000 employees and hundreds of third-party relationships.
  • Your due diligence work will help surface risks early, preventing issues before they escalate into investigations or regulatory exposure.
  • The dashboards and data insights you build will give leadership visibility into compliance trends and help inform strategic decisions about where to invest resources.
  • Your risk assessments and control testing will identify gaps and help drive remediation efforts that strengthen the program over time.
  • You will help embed a culture of integrity across the business by partnering with stakeholders who rely on your judgment and guidance.
  • Your preapproval reviews will help ensure employees can engage ethically with customers, partners, and other third parties without creating unnecessary friction.
  • You will contribute to a compliance function that enables the business to move quickly while staying aligned with global ABAC, antitrust, and other compliance requirements.

What You'll Need

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in compliance and risk management, with strong knowledge of ABAC laws and regulations such as the U.S. FCPA.
  • Experience with third-party risk management and compliance tools, including due diligence platforms like Exiger, GRC systems, and case management or reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, including hands-on experience using data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI to identify trends and support decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify compliance risks, escalate issues appropriately, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality in sensitive situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across global, cross-cultural teams and translate complex compliance requirements into practical guidance.
  • In-house experience in the technology industry is a plus, as is familiarity with broader global compliance frameworks, including whistleblower protections, sanctions and export controls, and conflicts of interest.
  • A relevant advanced degree or professional certification, such as CFE, CCEP, CCEP-I, or equivalent, is preferred.

Who You Are

  • You can look at a third-party due diligence report, spot the risks that actually matter, and explain to a business owner why a third party relationship needs more scrutiny without sounding like you are blocking progress.
  • You manage multiple projects at once, from risk assessments to control testing to due diligence, and you do not lose track of details or deadlines even when priorities shift.
  • You are collaborative and solutions-oriented, and you build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders because you understand their goals and help them meet compliance requirements without creating unnecessary friction.
  • You know when to escalate risks and are comfortable making judgment calls in gray areas where the answer is not always spelled out in a policy manual.
  • You are comfortable working across time zones and cultures, adapting your communication style to make compliance concepts clear and actionable for global stakeholders.
  • You bring a pragmatic, positive approach to compliance work. You care about doing it right, and you also care about making it work for the business.

The Team You'll Be Part Of

You will join the Legal Department’s E&C team and partner closely with the E&C Program Manager to operationalize and scale the company’s global E&C Program. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Legal, Finance, Internal Audit, HR, and business teams around the world. This is a remote role based in North America.
