Senior IT Program Manager

We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.
You Are
You have spent a decade learning that the hardest part of enterprise IT is not the technology, it is getting thirty different teams with thirty different priorities to move in the same direction. You know the difference between a program that delivers and one that stalls, and it usually comes down to whether someone asked the right questions in month two, not month ten.
Executive stakeholders do not intimidate you. You have sat in enough rooms where the ask was vague and the timeline was impossible to know how to translate strategy into something a delivery team can actually execute. You do not wait for perfect clarity. You work with what you have, fill in what is missing, and keep the program moving.
At Synopsys, you will own programs that matter across the CIO organization, working on infrastructure, platforms, and transformation initiatives that enable a global company to scale.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own end-to-end delivery of large, multi-workstream enterprise programs spanning digital platforms, infrastructure, cloud, and security across the CIO organization
- Translate strategic priorities from CIO leadership into executable roadmaps, aligned milestones, dependency maps, and measurable outcomes that delivery teams can act on
- Establish and lead program governance including executive reporting, risk management, decision forums, and stakeholder alignment across Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, Business, and Product teams
- Manage program financials, forecasting, vendor partnerships, and resource planning to ensure initiatives stay on track and deliver expected business value
- Proactively identify and mitigate program risks including delivery blockers, financial exposure, cross-team dependencies, and organizational readiness gaps
- Support M&A and divestiture initiatives by managing IT integration and separation programs, tracking dependencies, mitigating risks, and driving execution timelines
- Partner with CIO Office leadership to shape portfolio strategy, sequencing, investment priorities, and define success metrics and OKRs for enterprise initiatives
The Impact You Will Have
- Enable business scale and resilience by delivering enterprise programs that improve platform readiness, operational stability, and the ability to support growth
- Reduce delivery risk across the CIO portfolio by establishing governance, dependency management, and decision-making frameworks that prevent costly delays
- Accelerate strategic initiatives by translating executive vision into actionable plans that cross-functional teams can execute with clarity and alignment
- Drive measurable business outcomes by defining and tracking OKRs, success metrics, and value realization for infrastructure, platform, and transformation programs
- Improve organizational maturity by introducing systems thinking, change readiness assessments, and execution discipline across delivery teams
- Strengthen M&A execution capability by leading IT integration and separation programs that minimize disruption and preserve business continuity
- Influence portfolio prioritization and investment decisions by crafting executive-ready narratives, decision memos, and investment proposals that connect strategy to execution
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree required, PMP degree or equivalent certification strongly preferred
- 10+ years managing enterprise IT programs with proven experience across digital platforms, infrastructure, cloud, and security
- Strong hands-on experience with Jira or equivalent enterprise delivery tools to manage large-scale programs, drive cross-team dependency management, and provide portfolio-level visibility
- Deep understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery models and when to apply each across complex, multi-workstream initiatives
- Demonstrated success influencing senior leaders and executive stakeholders in a highly matrixed environment
- Experience defining and tracking OKRs, success metrics, and value realization for enterprise initiatives, experience in CIO Office, Enterprise PMO, or Transformation PMO environments is a plus
- Exposure to large-scale digital transformation, infrastructure modernization, platform integration initiatives, or M&A IT integration work is a plus
Who You Are
- You can walk into a room with conflicting priorities and walk out with a decision, a timeline, and everyone aligned on what happens next
- You know how to translate a vague executive ask into a delivery plan that engineering, security, and business teams can actually execute without losing the strategic intent
- You spot dependency and risk issues three months before they become blockers and you surface them in a way that drives action, not finger-pointing
- You are comfortable operating in ambiguity and you do not wait for perfect information to move, you ask the right questions, fill in the gaps, and keep the program on track
- You can explain a complex tradeoff to a VP in two sentences without losing the nuance, and you know when to escalate and when to solve it yourself
- You leverage data analytics and reporting to track program performance, communicate status, and make informed decisions, not just to fill out dashboards
The Team You'll Be Part Of
You will work within the CIO organization, partnering closely with Digital Platforms and Infrastructure & Operations teams. This role operates at the heart of enterprise delivery, working across Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, Business, and Product teams to drive execution of critical initiatives that enable business scale, resilience, and transformation. You will have significant autonomy and executive visibility, with accountability for outcomes that materially advance the CIO organization's strategic objectives.
