We Are

Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.

You Are

You have spent years building platforms that sit between research ambition and production reality, and you have learned that the gap between a working prototype and a system engineers can actually depend on is where most projects stall. You know how to bridge that gap. You think in architectures, not features. When someone describes a new AI capability, you are already mapping the deployment pipeline, the failure modes, and the parts of the stack that will break under real load.

You are comfortable leading technical decisions without needing consensus on every detail, and you know when to pull the team together to solve something hard. You have built systems in Python and C++, shipped frontend interfaces that researchers actually use, and debugged distributed systems at 3 a.m. because something in production did not behave like it did in the lab. You do not just write code, you set the standard for how it should be written, and you mentor others to meet that bar.

Simulation, 3D environments, and AI integration are not buzzwords to you. They are tools you have used to solve real problems. At Synopsys, you will define the technical foundation for a Physical AI platform that matters.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the design and development of the Physical AI platform components
  • Define and enforce best practices in software engineering, scalability, and performance
  • Drive technical decision-making and mentor a team of developers
  • Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate models into production-ready systems
  • Build and maintain robust deployment pipelines for both on-premise and cloud environments
  • Ensure platform reliability, maintainability, and security
  • Contribute to roadmap definition and long-term technical strategy
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies in simulation, 3D environments, and AI

The Impact You Will Have

  • You will define the technical foundation of a platform that enables Physical AI capabilities across Synopsys, shaping how simulation and AI integrate into real-world products
  • Your architectural decisions will determine whether the platform scales to support hundreds of users or stalls under production load
  • The engineering standards you set will influence how the entire team writes, tests, and ships code, raising the quality bar across the organization
  • Your mentorship will accelerate the growth of engineers around you, turning solid contributors into technical leaders
  • The deployment pipelines you build will directly affect release velocity, system reliability, and the team's ability to iterate quickly
  • Your collaboration with AI researchers will turn experimental breakthroughs into production systems that customers can depend on
  • The platform you help build will power next-generation simulation, digital twin, and AI-driven workflows that define Synopsys's competitive edge

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience building complex software systems
  • 8+ years of software development experience with strong proficiency in Python and C++ for production systems
  • Strong experience in software development (Python, C++, or similar)
  • Proven track record in software architecture and system design
  • Solid experience in frontend development (React, Angular, or Vue.js)
  • Good understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, REST APIs)
  • Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems and scalable architectures
  • Experience with DevOps practices and deployment pipelines
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and on-premise deployments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in complex, fast-paced environments
  • Experience with OpenUSD (Universal Scene Description)  is preferred
  • Familiarity with NVIDIA Omniverse or similar simulation platforms is preferred
  • Background in 3D simulation, digital twins, or physical modeling systems is preferred
  • Exposure to AI/ML integration in production systems is preferred
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) is preferred

Who You Are

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to bridge research and engineering
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability
  • Collaborative and proactive attitude
