You Are:

You are a skilled engineer with expertise in mechanical engineering, FEA, and software development using C++ and Python. You enjoy tackling complex challenges and transforming simulation data into actionable insights. Your experience with post-processing tools, especially for LS-Dyna, helps you deliver robust and intuitive solutions. You thrive in collaborative environments, communicate effectively, and are motivated to innovate and improve.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Participating in planning, architecture, and research in post-processing features for LS-Dyna.
  • Implementing advanced algorithms for data visualization, interpretation, and reporting within FEA workflows
  • Performs complex development activities that may require extensive analysis in areas including user experience and software design.
  • Employs best practices and helps to maintain them through technical reviews and mentoring.
  • Documenting code, workflows, and user guides to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.
  • Testing, debugging, and validating software components to ensure reliability and accuracy for end users.
  • Continuously improving the software architecture based on user feedback and evolving industry standards.
  • Works independently

What You’ll Need:

  • BS in Mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering or related field with 5 years’ experience, MS with 3 years’ experience or PhD with 1 year experience.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python programming for desktop application development.
  • Experience with Ansys or similar simulation software packages for FEA and post-processing tools.
  • Ability to design intuitive graphical user interfaces and implement data visualization techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in software development and testing.
  • Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative development environments.
  • Experience with Iso-geometry analysis is a plus.
