You Are:

You are a passionate and driven R&D Engineer with a strong foundation in software engineering and a keen interest in computational geometry, mesh generation, or numerical methods. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced meshing algorithms for simulation models used in Ansys TurboGrid and related products.
  • Participating in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, prototyping, coding, testing, and documentation.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including QA, product support, and other development groups, to ensure robust and high-quality product releases.
  • Engaging in defect verification and resolution, ensuring that solutions meet customer expectations and performance criteria.
  • Understanding and translating market requirements, such as target environments and competitive benchmarks, into technical solutions and product features.
  • Staying up to date with advances in computational geometry, numerical methods, and meshing technology to continuously improve our product offerings.
  • Contributing to code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing sessions within the team.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with at least 2 years’ experience, or a Master’s degree.
  • Solid programming skills in C++ and Python, with a strong understanding of software design and development principles.
  • Experience with mesh generation algorithms, computational geometry, or numerical methods.
  • Familiarity with CAD systems, CAD topology, and geometry basics.
  • Working knowledge of GUI toolkits such as QT and experience in large-scale commercial software development environments.
