We Are:

At Synopsys, we drive the innovations that shape the way we live and connect. Our technology is central to the Era of Pervasive Intelligence, from self-driving cars to learning machines. We lead in chip design, verification, and IP integration, empowering the creation of high-performance silicon chips and software content. Join us to transform the future through continuous technological innovation.

You Are:

You are a highly skilled A&MS Design Staff Engineer with a strong background in analog and mixed-signal circuit design. You have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with a master’s or PhD preferred. With over 7 years of experience in analog and/or mixed-signal IC design, you possess a deep understanding of transistor-level circuit design and analysis. You are proficient with simulation tools like SPICE, Spectre, or equivalent and have hands-on experience with silicon debug, characterization, and lab equipment. Your knowledge extends to design methodologies for robustness, reliability, and testability. You have strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, and you are capable of working independently while leading technical initiatives. Your preferred qualifications include experience with high-speed interfaces, data converters, PLLs, power management, sensors, or similar A&MS blocks, familiarity with deep submicron CMOS processes, experience leading design reviews and cross-functional technical discussions, exposure to DFT, DFM, or product engineering flows, and mentoring engineers or serving as a technical lead. You consistently deliver high-quality designs that meet performance targets and schedule commitments, provide effective technical leadership across multiple projects, ensure smooth handoff from design to layout, validation, and production, rapidly identify and resolve silicon issues, and collaborate strongly across engineering and product teams. As a senior technical professional, you are ready to contribute leadership and advanced analog and mixed-signal design expertise across the product development lifecycle.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead the design of analog and mixed-signal circuits, blocks, and subsystems
  • Develop architecture proposals and evaluate design tradeoffs for performance, power, area, and cost
  • Perform circuit simulation, verification, and optimization using industry-standard EDA tools
  • Support tape-out activities, silicon bring-up, debug, and characterization
  • Collaborate with layout engineers to ensure design intent, robustness, and manufacturability
  • Define and execute validation plans to meet product requirements
  • Review design specifications, schematics, and test results
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute technical leadership across projects
  • Work closely with system, digital, validation, and product teams to resolve technical issues
  • Drive continuous improvement in design methodologies and best practices

The Impact You Will Have:

  • High-quality designs that meet performance targets and schedule commitments
  • Effective technical leadership across multiple projects
  • Smooth handoff from design to layout, validation, and production
  • Rapid identification and resolution of silicon issues
  • Strong collaboration across engineering and product teams

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; master’s or PhD preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in analog and/or mixed-signal IC design
  • Strong understanding of transistor-level circuit design and analysis
  • Experience with simulation tools such as SPICE, Spectre, or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience with silicon debug, characterization, and lab equipment
  • Knowledge of design methodologies for robustness, reliability, and testability
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives

Who You Are:

  • Experienced analog and mixed-signal IC designer
  • Technical leader and mentor
  • Collaborative and communicative
  • Independent problem solver
  • Detail-oriented and committed to quality

The Team You’ll Be A Part Of:

You will be part of the engineering team responsible for delivering advanced analog and mixed-signal design solutions. The team collaborates across system, digital, validation, and product groups to resolve technical issues and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies and best practices. You will contribute technical leadership and mentor junior engineers, helping shape the future of Synopsys’ silicon solutions.
