Job Summary
We’re looking for an entry-level Layout Engineer to join the team and support the physical layout development of integrated circuit designs. This role is a strong fit for someone who is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and interested in building hands-on expertise in semiconductor layout design within a collaborative engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support physical layout development for analog and/or digital blocks under the guidance of senior engineers
Follow established layout methodologies, design rules, and internal checklists
Run and review basic physical verification tasks such as DRC and LVS
Help investigate and resolve straightforward layout issues
Prepare and maintain layout-related documentation
Participate in layout reviews, team discussions, and technical learning activities
Collaborate with circuit designers, layout engineers, and cross-functional team members to support project execution
Build understanding of how layout decisions affect quality, manufacturability, timing, power, and area
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, or a related field
Basic understanding of IC layout concepts and semiconductor fundamentals
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Good problem-solving skills and ability to follow technical guidance
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to work well in a team environment
Preferred Quolifications
Experience in layout design is a strong plus
Familiarity with EDA tools or physical verification flows is a plus
Internship, academic project, or coursework related to IC design, VLSI, or layout is a plus
