You are the person who can walk into a data center, diagnose a hardware issue that stumped three other engineers, and have it running before lunch. You think in systems, not just components. When you see a board, you see the chassis it fits into, the cabling that connects it, the Linux environment it runs on, and the customer workflow it enables.

Travel does not slow you down, it energizes you. Working solo on-site or collaborating with manufacturing teams back home feels equally natural. You have written enough bash and tcsh scripts to automate the repetitive parts so you can focus on the problems that actually need a human brain. You do not wait for perfect documentation, you dig in, figure it out, and then make it better for the next person. At Synopsys, you will work on hardware-assisted verification systems that power chip design for the most advanced semiconductors in the world.

What You'll Be Doing

• Install and configure Synopsys emulation and prototyping hardware at customer sites across Korea and internationally, ensuring systems are operational and optimized for customer workflows
• Diagnose hardware failures in the field, working directly with hardware engineering and manufacturing teams to root-cause issues and implement corrective actions
• Integrate boards into complete emulation systems by preparing chassis, mounting components, routing cabling, and validating system-level functionality
• Maintain detailed logs and reports on hardware installations, failures, and resolutions, providing periodic updates to management and engineering teams
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to review production processes, identify quality issues, and recommend improvements that reduce field failures
• Provide hands-on technical support and training to customers, helping them maximize the performance and usability of Synopsys hardware solutions
• Script automation tools using bash and tcsh to streamline installation, diagnostics, and reporting workflows

What You'll Need

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in test, validation, or field support engineering for hardware systems
• Strong working knowledge of Linux environments, including system configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
• Proficiency in bash and tcsh scripting for automation and workflow optimization
• Experience installing, integrating, or maintaining complex hardware systems in customer or production environments
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically within Korea and internationally to customer sites as needed
• Strong analytical and debugging skills, you can trace a problem from symptom to root cause across hardware, firmware, and software layers
• Experience with emulation, prototyping, or FPGA-based verification systems is a strong plus

The Team You'll Be Part Of

You will be a crucial member of the Synopsys Hardware Assisted Verification (HAV) field support team. This team is dedicated to ensuring the successful implementation and maintenance of our emulation and prototyping hardware solutions. You will collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and customer support teams to drive the excellence of our hardware products.
