You Are:

You are a highly skilled and motivated R&D Engineer with a passion for physical design of high-performance processors. You thrive in an environment that demands innovation and excellence. Your background in developing advanced EDA tools and design methodologies sets you apart, and you have a proven track record of collaborating with key customers to deliver processor-based platforms in advanced silicon technologies. Your expertise extends to working closely with R&D and marketing teams to shape product definitions and collaborating with IP partners to ensure seamless integration of tools, methodology, and IP. Your design experience includes ASIC design using industry-standard tools, and you possess a strong interest and understanding of scripting languages like Python and TCL.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Designing high-performance, energy-efficient processors and processor-based subsystems with aggressive power and performance targets for various end-user applications.
• Developing advanced EDA tools and design methodologies to support scalable solutions for processor implementations.
• Collaborating closely with key Synopsys customers in their development of processor-based platforms using Synopsys tools and methodologies.
• Working with Synopsys R&D and marketing teams to influence product definitions.
• Partnering with key IP collaborators to ensure seamless interaction between EDA tools, methodology, and IP for timely product delivery.
• Participating actively in account strategy and review meetings, conducting competitive benchmarks, and researching innovative solutions for power-sensitive implementations of high-performance processors.

What You’ll Need:

• Extensive experience in physical design of high-performance processors.
• Proficiency in developing advanced EDA tools and design methodologies.
• Strong collaboration skills with customers and internal teams.
• Experience with ASIC design using industry-standard tools (PnR, sign-off, etc.).
• Knowledge of RTL to GDSII full flow processes.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and TCL.
