What You’ll Be Doing:
- Utilizing advanced monitoring tools and techniques to detect suspicious activities, anomalies, and deviations from normal behavior within Synopsys’ networks and systems.
- Analyzing data logs, user activities, and access patterns to identify potential insider threats, unauthorized access, or malicious behavior.
- Conducting comprehensive investigations into suspected insider threats, including gathering evidence, conducting interviews, and collaborating with key stakeholders.
- Performing in-depth forensic analysis of security incidents to determine root causes, motives, and potential impacts on organizational operations and assets.
- Executing proactive threat hunting activities, leveraging cyber threat intelligence, enrichment, correlation, and attribution to uncover hidden risks.
- Developing and implementing proactive strategies, policies, and technical controls to mitigate insider threats and minimize security risks.
- Preparing detailed reports and presentations on insider threat incidents, trends, and mitigation strategies for executive management and stakeholders.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams—including IT, HR, legal, and compliance—to ensure cohesive and effective responses to insider threat concerns.

What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience through continuous learning and personal projects).
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on insider threat detection, analysis, and threat hunting.
- Proficiency in security monitoring tools, SIEM platforms, and advanced data analysis techniques.
- Strong understanding of insider threat indicators, behavioral analytics, and user activity monitoring.
- Experience with security automation, scripting, and reducing mean time to respond (MTTR) to incidents.
- Ability to work with large data sets and utilize log analysis tools effectively.
- Familiarity with legal hold processes and experience collaborating with third-party public and private organizations.
