A customer-centric mindset drives you to create solutions that are not only technically sound but also practical and impactful for internal and external stakeholders. You approach challenges with urgency and determination, consistently delivering results in fast-paced environments. Your ability to define methodologies, establish standards, and drive adoption sets you apart as a leader in your field. You are ready to take on the challenge of shaping performance analysis for next-generation silicon, making a tangible impact on Synopsys and the broader technology ecosystem.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Architect and lead development of advanced performance analysis frameworks for complex hardware subsystems.
  • Define comprehensive methodologies for latency, bandwidth, throughput, utilization, and contention analysis across multiple subsystems.
  • Drive framework extensibility to support diverse configurations, integration environments, and evolving usage models.
  • Establish and promote best practices for performance data collection, normalization, and interpretation across teams.
  • Develop performance models and reference workloads to enable early analysis, validation, and correlation of system behavior.
  • Support performance bring-up and correlation across simulation, emulation, prototyping, and lab environments, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Ensure all collateral is reusable, scalable, and suitable for broad internal and ecosystem adoption.

The Impact You Will Have:

  • Elevate performance analysis capabilities across Synopsys, enabling more accurate and efficient silicon characterization.
  • Accelerate time-to-market for partner-tailored solutions by providing robust frameworks and reference workloads.
  • Enhance collaboration between hardware and software teams through standardized methodologies and shared best practices.
  • Drive innovation in performance modeling and early validation, contributing to the development of next-generation silicon products.
  • Expand the reach and adoption of performance analysis tools within the internal ecosystem and among external partners.
  • Empower teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks efficiently, improving overall product quality and reliability.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in system-level software, embedded platforms, or performance engineering.
  • Strong programming skills in System Verilog, C, or C++; Python proficiency for modeling, automation, and analysis is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of embedded and system software stacks, memory hierarchies, IO subsystems, and interconnect behavior.
  • Expertise in performance metrics, instrumentation, and observability concepts, with strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills across hardware/software boundaries.

Who You Are:

  • Customer-oriented, consistently seeking to deliver impactful solutions and drive value for stakeholders.
  • Possess a strong sense of urgency, thriving in high-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Collaborative and communicative, able to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
