You Are:
You are a technically skilled, customer-focused engineer with a strong background in Aerospace & Defence (A&D). You excel at translating complex technical solutions into real value for customers, leveraging your expertise in digital mission engineering and simulation. Your communication skills enable you to connect with both technical and business stakeholders, and you thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments. Fluent in German and English, you work closely with sales teams to identify opportunities, drive technical engagements, and deliver impactful solutions. You are proactive, adaptable, and committed to supporting customers throughout the sales lifecycle.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Work independently within multi-disciplinary teams to significantly grow our business for a full portfolio of simulation products, particularly within the Aerospace and Defence sector.
- Demonstrate profound technical mastery and knowledge of engineering simulation techniques, specifically within aerospace domains, to provide the highest level of technical support to customers, ensuring high-quality and timely service.
- Regularly interact with aerospace customers to understand their solution needs, key business initiatives, and engineering design workflows, addressing their requirements for solutions during design and engineering stages.
- Lead complex customer engagements throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle, interacting with key customers to understand their technology needs, key business initiatives, engineering design workflows, and articulate our value proposition to Director or C-level audiences.
- Gather and document relevant metrics to demonstrate the impact of technical engagements and proposed solutions.
- Gather customer requirements to support the continuous improvement of our software and collaborate with product development teams to translate customer requirements into new product capabilities, guiding the product roadmap.
- Participate in internal corporate initiatives to share knowledge and to create best practices, both within and outside the Aerospace discipline.
- Mentor junior application engineers, fostering their technical growth and customer-facing skills.
- Support field and digital marketing efforts, including authoring conference presentations, technical papers, and webinars relevant to aerospace applications.
- Actively collaborate with other team members as well as other functions including sales, marketing, and product management/development within and outside of the region to drive customer success.

What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Aerospace/ Astronautical/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Required years of professional experience: 4-5 years of hands-on experience.
- Fluent in writing and speaking both German and English.
- Prior experience in modelling and simulation of complex aerospace systems (space launch vehicles, satellites, aircraft, defence systems, etc).
- Competency in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) and familiarity with the following programming languages: Python, MATLAB, C#, Java.
- Familiarity with Communications, Radars, & Sensors Systems (RF propagation, link analysis, jamming/interference, detection and tracking).
- Demonstrated understanding of aerospace engineering practices, product development lifecycles, experience with building solutions using simulation technology, and deploying those solutions within customers’ engineering workflows.
- Knowledge of Multiphysics tools (e.g. structural, fluid dynamics, electromagnetics, thermal, etc).
- Track record of delivering exceptional customer outcomes and contributing to revenue impact with A&D industry.
- Ability to organize and drive multiple complex projects across geographically diverse locations. Possesses a strong sense of urgency.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
- Demonstrated use of Ansys DME software (STK, ODTK) is preferred.
- Understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering is preferred.
- Familiarity with Astrodynamics (orbital mechanics, trajectory optimization) and/or Flight Dynamics (aircraft stability and control, aerodynamic performance) is preferred.
