You Are:

You are a highly skilled Applications Engineer with deep expertise in Static Timing Analysis (STA), a passion for semiconductor technology, and a drive to help customers succeed. Your experience spans multiple chip tapeouts at advanced process nodes (16nm or below), giving you a nuanced understanding of timing closure, engineering change order (ECO) flows, and advanced design methodologies. You thrive in dynamic environments—whether collaborating cross-functionally or independently tackling complex challenges. Your hands-on proficiency with Synopsys PrimeTime distinguishes you as a trusted advisor for customers and colleagues alike. You communicate technical concepts clearly, tailoring your messaging for both engineering teams and executive stakeholders. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Driving increased adoption and usage of Synopsys PrimeTime and ECO in both pre-sale and post-sale engagements with customers.
  • Conducting in-depth competitive benchmarks and product evaluations to demonstrate PrimeTime’s technical and business advantages.
  • Providing expert-level training, onboarding, and technical support to empower customers through successful chip tapeouts.
  • Collaborating with R&D, marketing, and sales teams to define requirements and influence enhancements to PrimeTime’s features.
  • Engaging directly with customers to gather actionable feedback and advocate for their needs within Synopsys.
  • Articulating complex technical solutions and methodologies to diverse audiences, from design engineers to senior management.
  • Troubleshooting critical issues related to timing closure, signal integrity, and process variations.

  • Providing critical feedback to R&D, directly influencing the evolution of PrimeTime and other STA technologies.
  • Building long-term, trust-based relationships with key customers, fostering loyalty and repeat business.
  • Contributing to Synopsys’s reputation as a global leader and innovator in electronic design automation.

What You’ll Need:

  • Strong domain knowledge in Static Timing Analysis (STA) and timing closure methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with multiple chip tapeouts at 16nm or below nodes.
  • Proficiency in timing closure, ECO flows, and advanced design methodologies.
  • Expertise with Synopsys PrimeTime and familiarity with timing corners, process variations, and signal integrity issues.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent with 8+ years of experience, or Master’s degree (MSEE) with 5+ years of experience.
  • Strong scripting skills (Tcl, Perl, or Python) and experience automating STA flows is a plus.

As a member of the applications engineering team, you will be at the forefront of supporting the industry-leading PrimeTime Static Timing Analysis tool. You’ll collaborate closely with customers, as well as internal teams across R&D, marketing, and sales, to ensure that our users achieve their design goals and maximize the value of Synopsys technologies.
