You Are:
As an ideal candidate, you are a seasoned Analog & Mixed Signal Circuit Design Engineer with a deep understanding of transistor-level circuit design, particularly in CMOS. You have extensive experience in designing high-speed clocking and timing circuits and have a solid grasp of FinFET technologies. Your expertise includes working with various DDR or SerDes sub-circuits such as receive equalizers, samplers, and voltage/current-mode drivers. You are well-versed in ESD protection, layout techniques, and the intricacies of custom digital design.
You possess a PhD with 7 years of experience or an MSc with over 10 years of analog design experience. You are proficient with tools for schematic entry, physical layout, and design verification, and have hands-on experience with SPICE simulators. Your skill set includes programming languages like TCL, Perl, C, Python, and MATLAB. You are an excellent communicator, capable of documenting complex design features and test plans, and you thrive in a collaborative environment working with cross-functional teams.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Reviewing JEDEC standards to develop analog and mixed-signal sub-block specifications.
- Identifying and refining circuit architectures to achieve optimal power, area, performance, and ESD targets.
- Proposing design and verification strategies.
- Overseeing physical layout to minimize the effect of parasitic, device stress, process variation, and ESD/Latch-Up protection.
- Presenting simulation data for peer and customer review.
- Documenting design features and test plans.
- Consulting on the electrical characterization of your circuit within the IP product.

What You’ll Need:
- PhD with 7 years of experience or MSc with 10+ years of analog design experience.
- In-depth familiarity with transistor-level circuit design and sound CMOS design fundamentals.
- Expertise with high-speed clocking and timing closure.
- Experience with FinFET technologies.
- Detailed design experience with DDR or SerDes sub-circuits.
- Knowledge of ESD protection and layout techniques for ESD/Latch-Up protection robustness.
- Familiarity with custom digital design and design for reliability.
- Proficiency with SPICE simulators and Verilog-A for analog behavioral modeling.
- Programming skills in TCL, Perl, C, Python, MATLAB, or other scripting languages.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
