You Are:

You are an experienced Analog Design Engineer with a solid foundation in full custom analog/mixed-signal circuit design. Your expertise lies in custom layout, circuit simulations, and reliability analysis. You possess a deep understanding of silicon IP design requirements and are adept at leading and training junior engineers. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working with cross-functional teams to develop and refine high-speed analog integrated circuits. Your innovative approach and independent judgment enable you to identify optimal circuit architectures and successful design strategies. Excellent communication and documentation skills are essential to your role, as you will be presenting simulation data for peer and customer review, and defining design features and test plans.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Reviewing SerDes standards to develop analog top and sub-block specifications.
  • Leading projects and guiding junior engineers.
  • Identifying and refining circuit architectures to achieve optimal power, area, and performance targets.
  • Proposing design and verification strategies that efficiently use simulator features to ensure the highest quality design.
  • Overseeing physical layout to minimize the effect of parasitics, device stress, and process variation.
  • Reviewing and presenting simulation data for peer and customer review.
  • Defining and documenting design features and test plans.
  • Proposing solutions for post-silicon design updates.

  • Driving the design and development of high-speed (>100Gbps) analog integrated circuits in the latest FinFET process nodes.
  • Contributing to the success of a fast-growing analog and mixed-signal R&D team.
  • Enhancing the performance and reliability of Multi-Gbps NRZ & PAM4 SERDES IP.
  • Ensuring the highest quality design through innovative verification strategies.
  • Leading and mentoring junior engineers to become experts in new methodologies.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in IC design (BSEE) or 3+ years of experience with an MSEE (or PhD).
  • Design experience in high-speed PHY such as DDR, HBM, or SERDES.
  • In-depth familiarity with transistor-level circuit design and sound CMOS design fundamentals.
  • Detailed design experience with SerDes sub-circuits: receive equalizers, samplers, voltage/current-mode drivers, serializers, deserializers, voltage-controlled oscillator, phase mixer, delay-locked loop, phase-locked loop, bandgap reference, ADC, DAC.
  • Experience with tools for schematic entry, physical layout, and design verification.
  • Understanding of SPICE simulators and simulation methods.
  • Knowledgeable in Verilog-A for analog behavioral modeling and simulation-control/data-capture.
  • Experience with TCL, Perl, C, Python, MATLAB, or other scripting languages is desired.
  • Hands-on experience with the physical layout of high-speed circuits is a plus.
