What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle, including discovery, product presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations.
  • Guide complex sales engagements to successful outcomes by leveraging subject matter expertise and industry knowledge.
  • Consult with customers to understand their business initiatives and engineering workflows, and propose simulation-based solutions using Ansys products.
  • Architect and deploy simulation solutions within customer design environments, ensuring seamless integration and value delivery.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, sharing best practices and fostering professional growth.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to influence the Ansys product roadmap and test new releases in real-world scenarios.
  • Participate in corporate initiatives to advance Ansys technology, processes, and skill development.
  • Support marketing efforts by authoring conference presentations and contributing to field and digital campaigns.
  • Deliver consulting services and lead intermediate/advanced training sessions for customers.

What You’ll Need:

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in engineering software environments (BS+8, MS+6, or PhD+3 years minimum).
  • Subject matter expertise in materials science, simulation, and data management solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in architecting and deploying enterprise solutions, including integration of COTS software.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities with a proven track record of delivering customer outcomes.
  • Experience with enterprise product development systems (SLM, SPDM, ERP, ALM, TDM, MIM/IMM, PDM, PLM).
  • Basic programming skills (Python, C#, JavaScript, HTML) and familiarity with DevOps/CI/CD processes.
  • Practical knowledge of agile project management methodologies.
  • 3+ years of experience with Granta MI Enterprise in an administrative or developer role.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically up to 25–50% of the time.
