- Planning and executing comprehensive testing and verification activities for engineering simulation software, in alignment with established development and testing processes.
- Analyzing requirements and designing innovative tests for new features across various engineering domains.
- Participating in design and code reviews, providing critical input to improve product quality and functionality.
- Developing, specifying, and maintaining both automated and manual test cases—including writing and refining test scripts.
- Testing products at multiple levels: workflow, unit, application, and performance, to ensure robust and reliable releases.
- Investigating and troubleshooting issues, identifying root causes, and collaborating with development teams to resolve defects swiftly.
- Creating and managing metrics and monitoring systems for early detection of defects and continuous quality improvement.
- Coordinating with technical support and cross-functional teams to address dependencies and ensure seamless product delivery.
- Enhancing the reliability and accuracy of engineering simulation products, directly influencing customer satisfaction and trust.
- Ensuring new features meet rigorous quality standards, supporting the continued leadership of Synopsys in engineering software innovation.
- Reducing time-to-market for new releases through efficient and effective verification practices.
- Contributing to the usability and performance of software tools critical to industries such as aerospace, automotive, energy, and manufacturing.
- Driving continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements and introducing new testing methodologies.
- Supporting the overall product lifecycle by collaborating with development, support, and quality teams to resolve issues and implement best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Materials Science, Structural Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree.
- Strong knowledge of structural and computational mechanics.
- Experience or academic exposure to FEA and CAE tools, with a solid understanding of finite element methods.
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python, C++, C#, or JavaScript for test automation and tool development.
- Experience in both Linux and Windows environments, with the ability to adapt to various computing platforms and clusters.
- Detail-oriented and thorough, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Collaborative team player who builds effective relationships across disciplines.
- Excellent communicator, able to articulate technical concepts clearly in both written and verbal forms.
