You Are:
You are a motivated and technically strong Application Engineer with a passion for digital backend design flows and customer enablement. You enjoy working hands-on with advanced implementation tools and thrive in environments where learning, collaboration, and problem-solving are key. With a solid foundation in VLSI concepts and backend flows, you are eager to deepen your expertise and apply it in real-world customer engagements.
You are comfortable working in Unix-based environments, writing TCL scripts, and navigating complex design flows. Curious and adaptable, you enjoy learning from experienced colleagues and collaborating closely with customers to help them succeed. You communicate clearly, approach challenges with a solution-oriented mindset, and take pride in delivering high-quality technical support.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting customers by enabling and troubleshooting the digital BE design flow
- Running and supporting Fusion Compiler (FC) implementation flows, including setup, execution, and analysis
- Assisting customers with tool usage, flow understanding, and best practices for backend implementation
- Working closely with experienced Application Engineers to learn customer environments and project requirements
- Analyzing design issues and providing clear, practical guidance to resolve technical challenges
- Collaborating with internal Synopsys teams to escalate, track, and resolve tool or flow-related issues
- Contributing to continuous improvement of backend flows, methodologies, and customer support processes

What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong understanding of VLSI concepts and the digital backend (BE) design flow
- Hands-on experience or familiarity with Fusion Compiler (FC) implementation
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments
- Experience with or willingness to learn TCL scripting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn complex tools and flows quickly
