We Are
Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.

You Are
You are a senior technical leader who thrives on solving difficult engineering and quality problems that matter. You bring deep experience in silicon, logic, or related systems, along with strong expertise in I/O and interface IP. You know how to take on technically complex, high-visibility issues, cut through ambiguity, and drive practical solutions that improve product quality and execution.

You have a track record of leading root cause analysis, strengthening engineering practices, and helping teams solve recurring problems in ways that last. You are comfortable working across functions, influencing stakeholders through technical credibility, and bringing clarity to situations where the stakes are high and the path forward is not obvious. You also elevate the people around you by sharing expertise, mentoring engineers, and helping teams operate at a higher level.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead deep technical RCCA and 8D investigations for complex, high-impact silicon IP quality issues and drive corrective actions through to resolution
  • Improve and scale quality methods, standards, and engineering practices that enable stronger, more predictable execution across teams
  • Partner with design, applications, program management, and other stakeholders to resolve cross-functional quality challenges
  • Mentor engineers through technical reviews, problem-solving discussions, and lessons learned, helping strengthen overall team capability
  • Identify systemic quality risks early and drive the right cross-team actions before issues escalate
  • Serve as a trusted technical partner for internal stakeholders, bringing clarity, judgment, and practical direction to difficult problems
  • Contribute to stronger design flows, quality systems, and operating practices that improve both current execution and future scalability

The Impact You Will Have

  • Strengthen product quality and customer confidence by helping teams resolve difficult issues with rigor and transparency
  • Reduce escalations by driving root-cause-based solutions instead of short-term fixes
  • Raise the standard for how quality issues are investigated, communicated, and resolved
  • Expand your impact beyond individual problems by embedding stronger quality ownership and best practices across the organization
  • Help create a more scalable and resilient engineering environment where teams can move faster with greater confidence
  • Leave systems, methods, and teams stronger than you found them

What You'll Need

  • Advanced degree (MS, PhD, or MBA) with 8+ years of experience in advanced technical roles across silicon, systems, or software
  • Strong expertise in at least one core Silicon IP interface such as PHY, SerDes, DDR, HBM, or UCIe, with a broad understanding of adjacent domains
  • Proven experience leading RCCA and 8D investigations that resulted in meaningful quality, process, or execution improvements
  • Ability to work independently in ambiguous, technically demanding environments and bring structure to complex problems
  • Strong communication and influence skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering and stakeholder groups
  • Experience driving improvements that span teams, projects, product lines, or technology generations is a plus
  • Experience building or improving repeatable engineering and quality practices is highly valued
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office, Confluence, and Jira for documentation, reporting, and tracking
  • Experience with automation, workflow digitization, or quality data analytics is a plus

Who You Are

  • You bring clarity to difficult technical problems and help teams move toward action
  • You are someone engineers trust when the stakes are high and the path is not obvious
  • You look for durable fixes, not workarounds
  • You influence through technical depth, sound judgment, and collaboration
  • You are motivated by improving both product quality and how teams work together to deliver it
