You Are

You are someone who gets genuinely curious when a customer's verification flow breaks in a way that doesn't make sense at first glance. You like figuring out why something fails, not just what failed. You have worked with Verilog or SystemVerilog enough to know that the syntax is only half the story, the real work is understanding what the designer was trying to do and where the toolchain got confused.

You communicate clearly in English, across time zones and teams. You are the kind of person who can explain technical issues to an engineer in cross-functionally and cross-regionally. At Synopsys, you will work directly with customers using tools that shape how chips get built, and the problems you solve will matter.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide technical support for EDA design and verification tools including VCS, Verdi, Spyglass, Certitude, and Z01X, troubleshooting customer issues and working toward resolution
• Take ownership of tool migrations and validation across different release versions, ensuring customers can move forward without breaking their workflows
• Collaborate with application engineers, R&D teams, and customers globally to understand requirements, escalate complex issues, and support successful tool adoption
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by actively tracking issues, following up on feedback, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the support lifecycle
• Learn and apply new tool features and capabilities, including AI-related functionality, as they become available
• Document technical issues, solutions, and best practices to support knowledge sharing across the team

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Basic understanding of design and verification methodologies, or prior experience as an application engineer in the verification field
• Working knowledge of Verilog; familiarity with SystemVerilog, UVM, VHDL, or UPF is a plus
• Exposure to standard protocols and verification IPs such as AMBA VIP, or to static and dynamic verification concepts
• Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to work across functions and regions
• Willingness to learn new tools, features, and emerging technologies including AI-related capabilities in EDA

The Team You'll Be Part Of

You will join the applications engineering team focused on EDA design and verification tools, providing technical support to customers across the region. The team works closely with application engineers worldwide and collaborates directly with R&D teams to escalate issues, validate tools, and ensure successful customer adoption. Your work will involve regular interaction with customers using tools like VCS, Verdi, Spyglass, Certitude, and Z01X, and you will play a key role in expanding support capabilities in Ho Chi Minh and the broader Southeast Asia region.
