You Are:

You are a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer with a passion for advancing technology and solving complex challenges. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that drive success for our customers and Synopsys. You possess a strong foundation in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, with expertise in C++, data structures, and algorithms. Your proficiency in English allows you to communicate effectively and document technical specifications clearly. You are eager to learn and apply new techniques in Static Timing Analysis and timing graph generation to enhance the performance of our products.

With your experience in RTL coding, chip design, and verification environments, you have a comprehensive understanding of ASIC architecture and system-level design. Your familiarity with emulation and prototyping tools, such as Zebu, Palladium, Veloce, ProtoCompiler, and Protium, positions you as a valuable asset to our team. You are adept at using FPGA tools like Xilinx Vivado and Synplify, and you have experience with scripting languages like Tcl, CSH, BASH, Python, Makefile, and Perl. Your background in driver/FW FPGA development and simulation tools like VCS and Verdi further strengthens your qualifications.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Collaborating with global cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and develop solutions for customer requirements.
  • Optimizing ProtoCompiler Quality of Results (QoR) to enhance the performance of HAPS.
  • Learning and applying Static Timing Analysis, timing graph generation, and delay estimation techniques.
  • Creating a fast and accurate timer to improve HAPS performance.
  • Automatically resolving timing violations and determining runtime clock frequency for both HAPS and Zebu.
  • Contributing to the success of our customers and Synopsys through continuous innovation and problem-solving.

What You’ll Need:

  • MS (or above) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Exceptional candidates with a BS degree and significant experience are also considered.
  • Proficiency in C++, data structures, and algorithms.
  • B1 or above level English proficiency for reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Experience with RTL coding, chip design, or verification environments.
