You Are:

Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills enable you to interpret business needs and translate them into detailed technical specifications. You excel in creating comprehensive documentation and are proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills allow you to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are experienced with project management tools and methodologies, and you have a keen understanding of agile development practices. You are dedicated to staying updated with industry trends and best practices, and you are always looking for opportunities to enhance platform functionality and user experience.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Work closely with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements related to the Platform Engineering.
• Analyze and interpret business needs, translating them into detailed technical specifications for the engineering team.
• Conduct gap analysis to identify areas for improvement and optimization within the platform.
• Collaborate with platform engineers to design solutions that meet business requirements and align with technical capabilities.
• Create comprehensive documentation, including use cases, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the platform engineering team, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
• Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather feedback, present findings, and discuss potential solutions.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Assist in the planning and execution of platform engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.
• Track project progress, identify risks and issues, and propose mitigation strategies.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the Backstage platform.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, incorporating them into the platform as appropriate.

What You’ll Need:

• Excellent knowledge in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
• Proficiency in creating detailed documentation, including use cases, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of agile development practices is a plus.
