You Are:
The ideal candidate for the Project Engineering Management, Staff Engineer role is a seasoned Technical Program Manager with a strong focus on Product Security and Data Engineering/Data Analytics programs. You have a proven track record of managing complex programs related to open-source projects and data engineering initiatives. You possess a deep understanding of product security principles, especially in the context of open-source projects, and are adept at using data analytics to identify trends and insights that drive security improvements. Your ability to collaborate closely with stakeholders, define program objectives, and develop comprehensive program plans is unmatched. You thrive in dynamic environments and are skilled at driving effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams. Your proactive approach to identifying challenges and risks, combined with your fact-based decision-making skills, ensures that projects remain on track and deliver exceptional results. With a minimum of 3 years of technical program management experience and a total of 8 to 12 years in the field, you bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise that will be instrumental in advancing Synopsys' security and data engineering initiatives.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Manage security-focused programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry standards.
- Oversee security initiatives related to open-source projects, including assessing vulnerabilities, coordinating remediation efforts, and promoting best practices within the engineering teams.
- Manage large-scale data engineering projects.
- Use data analytics to identify trends and insights related to product security, providing recommendations for improvements and enhancements.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define program objectives, scope, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans.
- Drive effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
- Monitor program progress and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating current processes and recommending enhancements to increase efficiency and security effectiveness.
- Proactively identify challenge areas and risks requiring executive engagement.
- Identify issues and roadblocks, and escalate with the right level of details and priority.
- Drive problem resolution through fact-based, conscious, and quality decision making.

What You’ll Need:
- 3+ years of experience in technical program management, with an overall experience of 8 to 12 years.
- Strong understanding of product security principles, especially related to open-source projects.
- Knowledge of data engineering concepts, including data pipelines, ETL processes, data warehousing, data lakes, and big data technologies.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques (e.g., Power BI).
- Experience managing large-scale data projects and teams.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to define program objectives and collaborate closely with stakeholders.
- Skills in developing and maintaining comprehensive program plans.

The Team You’ll Be A Part Of:
This role helps Synopsys build products securely and be compliant with security standards. The EPMO team provides program management support to all the Synopsys Central Engineering programs and initiatives. The main focus of this role would be to ensure product security compliance and provide program management support to Data Engineering initiatives in Synopsys Central Engineering.
