We Are

Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.

You Are

You are someone who gets energy from connecting with people and figuring out what they actually need, not just checking boxes on a call script. You know that the best leads come from real conversations, not cold templates, and you are curious enough to ask the questions that uncover whether someone is actually a fit or just browsing.

You do not mind the grind of prospecting, researching accounts, sending thoughtful emails, and following up without being pushy. You understand that qualifying a lead well means saving everyone time later, and you take pride in handing over opportunities that actually go somewhere. You are comfortable working across sales, marketing, and channel teams without needing to own the spotlight.

You are organized enough to manage a pipeline, update Salesforce without being reminded, and keep track of who said what three weeks ago. You can switch between a technical conversation about simulation software and a business conversation about ROI without losing your footing. At Synopsys, you will be the front line for new business in Germany, and what you build here will directly shape the pipeline for the field sales team.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Qualify inbound leads from campaigns, events, and web inquiries by asking the right questions to determine fit, need, and timing, then route them to the right sales or channel owner
  • Run outbound prospecting into target accounts using email, LinkedIn, and calls to generate new interest and book meetings for the field sales team
  • Partner with marketing to drive attendance and engagement at webinars, trade shows, and Ansys events, and follow up with attendees to move them through the funnel
  • Update Salesforce after every interaction with lead status, account intelligence, contact details, and notes so the sales team has what they need to close
  • Work closely with field sales and channel partners in your territory to understand account priorities, align on target lists, and coordinate outreach
  • Research accounts to build relationship maps, identify decision makers, and surface use cases that match Ansys simulation and engineering software
  • Contribute to process improvements by sharing what is working, what is not, and where leads are getting stuck

The Impact You Will Have

  • You will create qualified pipeline that turns into closed business for the Germany sales team
  • Your research and account intelligence will help sales reps walk into conversations prepared and credible
  • The leads you qualify well will save the sales team hours of chasing dead ends and misaligned opportunities
  • Your follow-up and persistence will keep warm leads from going cold and falling through the cracks
  • The data you capture in Salesforce will give leadership visibility into what is working in the market and where to double down
  • Your collaboration with marketing will make campaigns more effective because you will feed back what prospects actually care about
  • The relationships you start will set the tone for how prospects experience Synopsys from the first touch

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field, or 4+ years of experience in inside sales, sales development, or a presales role selling technical or industrial products
  • Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken
  • Comfort with phone outreach, email campaigns, and LinkedIn engagement to start conversations with people who do not know you yet
  • Experience using CRM tools like Salesforce to track leads, log activity, and keep data clean
  • Ability to understand technical concepts quickly enough to have a credible conversation about engineering software, even if you are not an engineer yourself
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Germany for events, trade shows, or team meetings, up to 25% of the time

Who You Are

  • You can take a vague inquiry and turn it into a clear picture of whether this is a real opportunity or not worth pursuing right now
  • You are comfortable working independently without a lot of hand-holding, but you know when to loop in sales or ask for help
  • You follow through, if you say you will send something or call someone back, you do it without needing a reminder
  • You can juggle multiple leads at different stages without dropping the ball or losing track of where each one stands
  • You are not afraid to ask questions when you do not understand something technical, and you learn quickly from the answers
  • You stay organized under pressure, even when leads are coming in from five different sources at once
