What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Designing and implementing comprehensive cybersecurity architectures aligned with business objectives.  
  • Assessing current security frameworks and recommending enhancements to mitigate risks and vulnerabilities.  
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, product managers, and business partners to integrate security throughout system development and deployment.  
  • Developing and maintaining security policies, standards, and procedures to establish a robust cybersecurity foundation. 
  • Conducting threat modeling, architecture reviews, and risk assessments to identify and address vulnerabilities.  
  • Providing guidance and support to IT and engineering teams on security-related issues and best practices.  
  • Documenting and communicating security architecture plans and updates to stakeholders at all levels.  
  • Driving security transformation initiatives, evaluating controls, and identifying opportunities to enhance the security posture. 
  • Building and managing enterprise security capabilities effectively to align with business, technology, and threat drivers. 
  • Staying informed about the latest cybersecurity trends, tools, and best practices to proactively advise on improvements.

What You’ll Need:

  • University degree or equivalent certified education and experience in a relevant field.  
  • 5+ years of comprehensive experience in cybersecurity engineering roles.  
  • Ability to draft project plans for security services and technology deployments, coordinating with stakeholders organization-wide. 
  • Hands-on experience with Azure, GCP, and AWS cloud providers and their security capabilities.  
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, adept at working with multi-functional teams. 
  • Strong presentation and speaking skills, especially for executive audiences. 
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and adaptability in fast-paced, evolving environments  
  • Familiarity with industry frameworks and regulatory standards including PCI-DSS, HIPAA-HITECH, Sarbanes-Oxley, GDPR, ISO 27001/2, NIST CSF/800.53, FedRamp, IEC 62443.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP (ISSAP), CISA, CISM, CRISC, SABSA are preferred.

  • Proven experience in cybersecurity architecture, design, or related fields with a strong grasp of security principles and practices.  
  • Familiarity with a variety of security technologies, including firewalls, endpoint security, Zero-Trust, data security, IAM, intrusion detection systems, and encryption methods.  
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, capable of assessing risks and developing innovative solutions.  
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, fostering teamwork and knowledge sharing.  
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to continuous learning and improvement.


The Team You’ll Be A Part Of:

As a Cybersecurity Architect, you will join a collaborative and innovative cybersecurity team dedicated to protecting Synopsys’ assets and intellectual property. The team values continuous learning, improvement, and embraces new technologies and approaches to build a resilient security environment. You will work closely with other departments, including engineering, IT, and business functions, ensuring a unified and strategic approach to cybersecurity across the organization.
