Synopsys is looking for Business Data Analyst for Porto and Lisbon

The Impact You Will Have: 

• Accelerate turning our Product Operations data into information, information into insights and insights into business decisions. 
• Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our service and establish robust data management practices aligned with standards and best practices.
• Facilitate collaboration and alignment across various engineering groups and entities.
• Ensure that teams are well-trained and equipped to understand reports and help in decision making.
• Contribute to the overall success and innovation of Synopsys by implementing best practices and new methodologies.

What You’ll Need: 

• MSc degree in a quantitative discipline such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, or other related
• Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
• Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
• Demonstrable knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects, etc.), databases (SQL, etc.), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for evaluating datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.)
• Solid analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Adept at queries, report preparation (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) and presenting actionable insights
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, both to internal and external stakeholders. Proven ability to craft actionable messaging to peers. 
• Exceptional interpersonal and teamwork skills. Willingness to manage and coordinate stakeholders across a global organization. 
• Passion for new problem solving and team cooperation to yield new ideas and proposals, with peers who challenge you to be better. 
• The desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals. And the ability to deal with and thrive on objections. 

Preferred Experience: 

• 5+ years of relevant experience in data analysis roles
• Demonstrable proficiency Python/Pandas (or similar) and with PowerBI reporting 
• Demonstrable background in Data Management frameworks (DMBOK, etc.). 
• Work experience in multicultural environment/international company is a plus.
