We Are:
At Synopsys, we drive the innovations that shape the way we live and connect. Our technology powers the Era of Pervasive Intelligence, from self-driving cars to learning systems, enabling the creation of high-performance silicon chips and software content. To support our business at scale, we rely on effective internal systems, strong processes, and data-driven decision-making.

We are looking for a Director-level Agile Product Owner to lead the strategy and execution for a portfolio of internally developed business applications used across the organization. This role will serve as the single accountable owner for product vision, value delivery, and stakeholder outcomes—partnering closely with Business Operations, IT, Engineering, and Finance to evolve tools that enable operational and financial excellence.

Job Overview:
This is a senior leadership role for an experienced Product Owner who can operate at Director/Senior Director level: setting a clear multi-year vision, aligning diverse stakeholder groups, and driving delivery through Agile methods and strong product governance. The product portfolio consists of internally developed tools (not commercial off-the-shelf implementations), so we are seeking seasoned professionals who can quickly transfer experience from enterprise platforms (e.g., CRM, PPM, ERP, contract management, data/analytics) into a strong product operating model.

In this role, you will also be a people leader—building, managing, and developing a high-performing team of Business Analysts and product contributors, setting clear expectations, coaching performance, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

You will define and communicate the product strategy and roadmap, own prioritization and outcomes, and ensure the team delivers high-quality capabilities that improve user experience, standardize processes, strengthen compliance, and generate measurable business value. You will also play a key role in building and developing the broader product and analysis capability within the team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for internally developed business applications, from vision and discovery through delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement.
  • Define and communicate a compelling product vision, product strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap aligned to business goals and operational priorities.
  • Lead portfolio prioritization by balancing strategic initiatives, technical debt, support needs, compliance requirements, and stakeholder commitments.
  • Establish and run effective product governance (intake, triage, prioritization, release planning, decision logs, and success metrics).
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand needs, define desired outcomes, and convert them into clear epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release goals.
  • Drive Agile delivery cycles, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, clarification, review, and follow-up—ensuring the team is delivering the highest-value work first.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and IT on solution design tradeoffs, delivery sequencing, and release readiness (DEV/UAT/PROD promotion, CI/CD concepts, environment strategy, and quality gates).
  • Ensure strong release execution and adoption: UAT planning and coordination, rollout communications, training/enablement, and post-release measurement and stabilization.
  • Serve as the senior point of escalation for stakeholder alignment and complex prioritization decisions; proactively manage risks, dependencies, and scope.
  • Enable and mentor Business Analysts and other product contributors in requirements quality, stakeholder management, and product thinking.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, outcome orientation, and transparency across stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Support integration and data strategy discussions where relevant (APIs, data models, reporting needs, and SQL-level understanding), ensuring solutions are scalable and maintainable.

Who You Are:

  • A credible senior leader who can influence at all levels and drive alignment across multiple stakeholder groups with competing priorities.
  • Customer- and value-focused, with a strong ability to connect user needs to practical business outcomes and measurable impact.
  • An excellent communicator who can translate complex technical and operational topics into clear decisions, priorities, and narratives.
  • Analytical, structured, and comfortable operating in ambiguity; able to guide discovery and make timely decisions with incomplete information.
  • Collaborative and pragmatic: you partner well with Engineering, IT, Finance, and Operations, and you know when to push and when to simplify.
  • Committed to quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement in both product and process.

What You’ll Need:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Product Ownership/Product Management, Business Applications, Business Analysis, Program Management, and/or IT solution delivery, ideally supporting enterprise internal users at scale.
  • 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a product-led, Agile delivery environment (Director/Senior Director scope, or equivalent senior ownership).
  • Demonstrated ability to create product strategy and roadmaps, define outcomes and success metrics, and drive portfolio-level prioritization and governance.
  • Strong experience partnering with technical teams on modern software delivery practices (e.g., CI/CD concepts, DEV/UAT/PROD environments, testing strategy, change/release management).
  • Working knowledge of enterprise platforms and operating models (e.g., CRM, PPM, ERP, contract lifecycle management, data/analytics), with the ability to stay tool-agnostic and focus on business capability.
  • Solid technical literacy: familiarity with APIs/integrations, data models, and databases/SQL sufficient to drive good product decisions and facilitate effective solution discussions.
  • 5+ years of demonstrable people-management experience, including hiring and developing talent, setting goals and expectations, coaching, and performance management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience operating as (or partnering closely with) a Scrum Team Product Owner.
  • Experience with common delivery and documentation tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Miro) preferred.

The Impact You Will Have:

  • Provide clear direction and governance for a portfolio of business-critical internal tools, improving focus, speed of delivery, and stakeholder confidence.
  • Increase the usability, effectiveness, and scalability of enterprise applications that enable operational and financial excellence.
  • Drive stronger process standardization and data consistency across the organization through well-designed product capabilities.
  • Enable measurable business outcomes through value-based prioritization, disciplined release execution, and strong adoption practices.

The Team You’ll Be A Part Of:
You will join the Synopsys IPG Business and Product Operations organization, an innovative and expanding team focused on business scaling and enhancement. The Business Applications team within such organization is dedicated to improving system usability and evolving infrastructure for scalability. Together, you will collaborate across functions and geographies to drive operational excellence and enable the continued growth and success of Synopsys.

Rewards and Benefits:
We offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs. Our total rewards include both monetary and non-monetary offerings.

At Synopsys, we want talented people of every background to feel valued and supported to do their best work. Synopsys considers all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, military veteran status, or disability.
