We lead in chip design, verification, and IP integration, empowering the creation of high-performance silicon chips and software content. Join us to transform the future through continuous technological innovation.

You Are:

A detail-oriented engineer with a passion for manufacturing excellence, you bring deep expertise in developing and industrializing robust processes for complex electronic assemblies. Your decade-long experience has equipped you to specify, optimize, and troubleshoot high-complexity SMT and system-level assemblies, balancing quality, efficiency, and cost. Comfortable collaborating across functions, you thrive in cross-disciplinary teams and act as a technical partner to Contract Manufacturers during NPI and production ramp-up. Fluent in both French and English, you communicate effectively with global teams and partners. Analytical and solutions-driven, you excel at addressing challenges, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring high standards of manufacturing performance. Experience with optical connections is a plus, and your commitment to automation, ergonomics, and scalable solutions makes you an ideal fit for this impactful role.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Define and industrialize end-to-end manufacturing processes for complex electronic products, including SMT, system assembly, test, and packaging.
  • Specify SMT processes and equipment requirements for high-density, high-complexity printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs).
  • Design and deploy assembly processes integrating main PCBAs, daughter boards, cabling, and mechanical chassis for optimal performance and reliability.
  • Develop automated or semi-automated manufacturing solutions to reduce human handling, improve quality, and ensure ergonomic operations.
  • Ensure cost efficiency throughout process development, including estimation and tracking of equipment budgets and negotiation with vendors for cost optimization.
  • Act as the technical manufacturing partner for Contract Manufacturers during both NPI and full-scale production, providing guidance and support.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, lead root-cause analysis, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with teams across Design, R&D, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Management to drive successful project outcomes.

The Impact You Will Have:

  • Enable reliable, scalable, and cost-effective manufacturing of advanced electronic assemblies, directly influencing product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Accelerate time-to-market for new products by streamlining process industrialization and supporting efficient NPI activities.
  • Drive continuous improvements that enhance yield, reduce defects, and lower manufacturing costs.
  • Foster strong partnerships with Contract Manufacturers, ensuring seamless transitions from design to volume production.
  • Champion automation and ergonomic solutions that improve operator safety and process consistency.
  • Contribute to cross-functional innovation, supporting Synopsys’ leadership in high-complexity, cutting-edge electronic systems.
  • Support the growth and reputation of the Rungis site as a center of manufacturing excellence.

What You'll Need:

  • Engineering degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Electronics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering for complex electronic assemblies.
  • Deep expertise in SMT industrialization and electro-mechanical system assembly processes.
  • Proven track record working with Contract Manufacturers, especially during NPI and production phases.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing systems, automation, quality assurance, and cost optimization techniques.
  • Hands-on approach with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with optical connections is advantageous.
  • Fluency in French and English is mandatory; German language skills are a plus.

Who You Are:

  • Innovative and solutions-oriented, with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional, multicultural environments.
  • Exceptional communicator, able to convey complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Adaptable and resilient when facing challenges and change.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

The Team You'll Be A Part Of:

You will join a dynamic, high-performing Operations team based onsite in Rungis, France. The team is dedicated to developing and industrializing manufacturing processes for cutting-edge electronic systems. Working closely with Design, R&D, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and global manufacturing partners, you will be at the heart of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.

Rewards and Benefits:

We offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs. Our total rewards include both monetary and non-monetary offerings. Your recruiter will provide more details about the salary range and benefits during the hiring process.
