The Team You’ll Be A Part Of:

Synopsys Optical Solutions is looking for a Customer Solutions Manager to work in the Customer Success team to support the Synopsys suite of optical system design products. You will work closely with customers, sales, and product teams to solve complex technical challenges and drive the adoption of our industry-leading optical system design and analysis software.

Your excellent problem-solving skills and knack for troubleshooting make you a go-to resource for your team and customers alike. You possess a strong ability to understand and anticipate customer needs, translating them into actionable insights and solutions. With a willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally, you are committed to providing exceptional support and training to our customers.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Partnering with customers to solve complex technical challenges and drive the adoption of our industry-standard optical design system and analysis software.
  • Partnering with the sales and marketing teams to understand and meet customers’ technical and business challenges.
  • Collaborate with global teams to improve usability, product offerings, and adoption of Synopsys' products.
  • Contributing to development of technical material in various formats for support, training, webinars, and customer visits.
  • Leading other like-minded application engineers in solving customer challenges
  • Strengthening customer relationships through a shared understanding of challenges

What You’ll Need:

  • At least 10 years of industry experience in one or more disciplines: optics, photonics, photonic integrated circuits, opto-electronic devices, or physics.
  • A Ph.D. in Optics, Optical Sciences, Data Analytics, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Mastery of imaging and illumination concepts and tools, able to understand complex optical problems and have creativity for developing solutions
  • Experience with AI systems, stray light tools, solid modeling tools, and photonics tools is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using advanced design tools and software.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
  • At least 5 years of experience in leading/managing team of technical engineers

  • Ability to work on many concurrent projects, both on a team and autonomously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to understand customer requirements and expectations.
