You Are:

You are a dedicated and detail-oriented Test and Validation Engineer with a passion for ensuring the highest quality of software tools. You thrive in collaborative environments and are skilled at working closely with R&D and product engineering teams to tackle complex technical challenges. Your deep domain knowledge in Static Timing Analysis, coupled with your exceptional debugging skills, sets you apart. You are proficient in scripting languages such as Perl, Tcl, and Python, and you have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all tasks are completed with the utmost accuracy. Your ability to analyze validation data and identify trends and discrepancies makes you an invaluable asset to any team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Executing product validation of Synopsys's PrimeTime tool by understanding requirements specifications and functional specifications, and customer use cases.
  • Performing in-depth customer incoming root cause analysis to understand product weak areas and hot spots, and executing proactive testing to reduce customer incoming thereby improving product quality.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as R&D, Product Engineering, Field, and Customers to recommend improvements in implementation and validation.
  • Using product expertise to provide technical recommendations, identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot issues, and propose solutions to ensure quality and readiness of the product/solution for customer deployment.
  • Developing, implementing, and executing comprehensive validation plans based on our technical roadmap and specifications.
  • Performing risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies to address potential product validation issues.
  • Analyzing validation data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Preparing detailed validation reports to present to multi-functional teams and management.
  • Demonstrating a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

  • Enhancing the quality and reliability of the PrimeTime tool, ensuring it meets the high standards expected by our customers.
  • Reducing customer incoming issues by identifying and addressing product weak areas proactively.
  • Improving customer satisfaction through thorough validation and troubleshooting.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of product implementation and validation processes.
  • Supporting the deployment of high-performance designs by ensuring the readiness of the product.
  • Providing valuable insights and recommendations to cross-functional teams, driving innovation and excellence.

What You’ll Need:

  • BSEE or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of related experience, or MSEE or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
  • Deep domain knowledge in Static Timing Analysis.
  • Experience with Synopsys PrimeTime, timing analysis, ECO flows, Extraction, power, SDC constraints, advanced OCV concepts, derates, PBA timing, distributes, hierarchical STA flows, and/or physical design closure.
  • Exceptional debugging skills.
  • Proficiency in software and scripting skills (Perl, Tcl, Python).
  • Attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high standards of product quality.

You will be joining the product validation team, a group of dedicated professionals focused on ensuring the highest quality of Synopsys's PrimeTime tool. The team collaborates closely with R&D, Product Engineering, and Field teams, leveraging their combined expertise to tackle complex technical challenges and drive continuous improvement in product quality and customer satisfaction.
