What You’ll Be Doing:

Collaborate with development teams and customers to test and validate SMART crack growth functionality.
Develop SMART crack growth benchmarks to advance Synopsys’ fracture mechanics capabilities.
Build finite element models and execute simulations using Ansys APDL software.
Apply analytical or numerical methods to process and validate simulation results.

What You’ll Need:

Currently pursuing a master level degree of mechanical engineering in France
Strong computational mechanics background.
In-depth understanding of finite element formulations or other numerical simulation methods.
Proven ability to overcome obstacles and drive projects to completion.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and geographies.

Program Length: 6-month internship
Location: Lyon area (Villeurbanne), France
Working Model: In-office
Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-time
Start Date: January to April 2026
