You Are:

As Synopsys Quality Engineer, you will work in a cross-functional team responsible for the quality and delivery of Synopsys EDA tool that allows viewing and editing GDSII, OASIS®, and LEF/DEF layouts from small IP blocks to full chip databases. The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring overall healthiness on Binary Compatible (BC) and secondary platforms is blue or green, be responsible for reporting and meeting corporate quality metrics for the product (0 valgrind/asan defects, 0 Coverity, 0 compiler warnings, >85% coverage, etc.) and escalate urgent issues to appropriate levels. You are detail-oriented, committed to delivering high-quality products, and proactive in identifying and solving potential problems. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about continuous improvement and innovation.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Developing automation tools and scripts for software construction, continuous integration, and deployment.
• Determining quality improvement factors.
• Implementing methods to inspect, test, and evaluate the reliability of manufacturing processes, products, and production equipment.
• Ensuring processes adhere to quality standards.
• Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
• Working in accordance with deadlines for the delivery of products or software.

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5 years of experience working as a Quality Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of relevant software, quality assurance methods, EDA tools, and quality manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CD/CI) pipelines.
• Experience working with DevOps and Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle.
• Expert knowledge of a major scripting/programming language on the products platform.
• Proficient with Linux operating system.

The Team You Will Be A Part Of:

You will be part of the Software Modernization team. As a member of the Software Modernization team, the quality assurance engineer will participate throughout the development lifecycle, playing an important role to take responsibility for the overall quality of pre-defined areas of a large design platform, by doing manual testing, as well as creating automated regression test-cases. A successful candidate will need to have professional interests to learn new technologies and tools, have a programming mindset with passion to deliver efficient, high coverage, and maintainable test cases.
