You Are:

You are an innovative and forward-thinking Design for Test (DFT) Engineer who thrives in a dynamic and project-oriented environment. You have a passion for technology and a keen interest in driving the future of digital IC design. With a strong background in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, you have honed your skills in RTL Coding, DFT Insertion, ATPG, MBIST, and pattern generation. You are proficient in scripting languages such as TCL, Perl, Python, and have experience with Unix and description languages like Verilog.

As a professional, you are adept at multitasking and managing multiple priorities, ensuring that you can meet the needs of various projects simultaneously. Your excellent communication skills in English enable you to interact effectively with customers, end-users, and team members alike. You possess strong analytical skills and an ability to solve complex technical problems. Your familiarity with design tools such as VCS, Verdi, TestMAX Manager and TetraMAX.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Implementing and validating DFT techniques such as scan compression, core wrapping, logic and memory Built-in Self-Test (BIST), and test points.
  • Generating Automatic Test Patterns (ATPG), validating fault models, and conducting pattern validation and diagnostics.
  • Prototyping and developing new Design for Test methodologies, debugging issues, and proposing innovative solutions.
  • Participating in customer design and flow reviews to ensure successful implementation of test solutions.
  • Creating and updating official documentation to support test solutions and methodologies.

  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and acting as a trusted advisor for customers test solution requirements.

What You’ll Need:

  • BS +2 years of relevant experience or MS +1 years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with RTL Coding, DFT Insertion, ATPG, MBIST, and pattern generation.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (TCL, Perl, Python, etc.) and familiarity with Unix and Verilog.
  • Knowledge of design tools such as VCS, TestMAX Manager, and TetraMAX would be a plus.
  • Understanding of protocols like IEEE 1149.1, 1500 and/or 1687.

The Team You’ll Be A Part Of:

You will be part of the New Product Development Team under the Test Group at Synopsys. This team is dedicated to delivering comprehensive DFT solutions to meet customer needs and drive innovations in digital IC design. The team collaborates closely with customers, solution architects, and other internal teams to ensure the successful implementation of test solutions and the development of next-generation test technologies.
